Yeah, I only remember that because it was one of my first encounters with Gender-Blender Name. Apparently he's named after his Missing Mom (who disappeared to the other world his knife could "peek" through or something).

I remember reading a children's novel about a boy who finds a knife that can cut triangles to look into a different world.
