I wonder what they mean by "last time I checked", because that isn't a rule for Fanon Discontinuity and never has been to my knowledge.
Fanon Discontinuity is when significant portions of a viewerbase refuse to acknowledge the canonicity of something officially considered canon, for any reason. The editor has it mixed up with Series Continuity Error.

This was commented out citing "Last time I checked, FD only applied to entries that supposedly violated continuity with previous installments of a series." I don't believe FD is restricted to fans rejecting it's canonicity for just objective continuity violations. Thoughts?
