Those are definitely just their personal opinions, I've never seen anyone make those criticisms ever. Monsters vs. Aliens is a parody of all those franchises and movie tropes.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallThe trope is about works that received criticism due to being perceived as unoriginal. The examples are just comparisons, and really unfair ones, given that they describe the film in the most generic way possible ("super-human girl battles giant robot" could apply to almost every superheroine story ever written). It's misuse coupled with Fan Myopia and should be cut.
Edit: Cut the Headscratchers stuff as well. The film is a rip-off of The Incredibles because both films have "violent themes that was too scary for younger children"? Really?

Bradyreino added a They Copied It, So It Sucks! entry to Monsters vs. Aliens, as well as several subsequent edits to said entry first edit here
.
They also added a similar claim about the film being a ripoff of multiple other franchises on the headscratchers page for the same film, despite it not being a headscratcher. (history for that page
).
Edit history for the troper in question
.
Sorry if this isn't important.
