Having seen the movie, it's their flaws that get them into this mess. Strange is arrogant, Spidey is just a kid. By the end of the movie, they've fixed what happened because of recognizing their flaws. (It's spoilery, but there we go.)

Also, I'm pretty sure an entry nearly identical to this was already cut for the exact same reason before it became this one. Just slash it and put a note at this point if it's gonna be a recurring problem.

Idiot Plot currently does not exclude intentional or expectable in-character idiocy (like Peter and Strange). I think it should I’ve limited to willing suspension of disbelief breaking amounts of idiocy (it's the only thing keeping it YMMV as many idiotic moments seems objective otherwise), but I worry that's too subjective to work (YMMV still need some objective criteria to say it is/isn't an example).

Anyway, thoughts about creating a cleanup thread for it where this can be discussed further?
