That falls under the weird self-plagiarism thing, which is an issue because by posting the summary here it grants TVT and the creator the copyright to that thing.

The policy says to not use the same writing that exists on another website. If there's a copy outside of tvt, the one on tvt needs to be reworded.

@Amonimus Comun said that the summaries would have to be corrected for any typos, and I came to the conclusion that they needed to be reworded so as to not include language that was used in reference to the people on the forums in which they were originally posted.

That being said, I'm still unsure if this means that I can go ahead with it or not.

I'm pretty sure you can't plagiarize, even if the author says its okay. There are still too many potential legal issues involved.

I would think it would be okay to take the summary from the other site as a starting point for a rewording. Then you compare the two summaries and make sure that the only similarities that remain are due to their summarizing the same episode, movie, or whatever it is.

Here's a technique that may or may not be helpful here: if the work in question has two or three concurrent plot threads that are fairly independent (even if they're brought together at the end) and the summary you want to use tells the story in the same order as the original work, you could untangle the two or three plot threads.

Or if the summary has already untangled them, you can retangle them. Either way, reread the summary and make sure everything's clear. That should cause enough rewording to make your version different enough.
