Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
I know we're not that other wiki, but it seems like for pages like these we should really require some sourcing so it doesn't become a repository for every half remembered story.
I'll re-cut as the entry is way too general and vague, and send a notifier.
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose meWe're not The Other Wiki, but even they'd put [who?] and [in what way?] at such writing, not to mention the CAPS LOCK. The example sounds like it fits Gaia's Vengeance, but again, what culture are they talking about?
Edited by Amonimus TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupEldritch Abomination is a NRLEP trope. Nothing like this should even be on the page, or any offshoot page.
Anything there fitting that description should be axed.
Looking further at that page, it’s a nightmare mess of bad indentation use. I’m also concerned about applying the employment of this trope to describe religious entries, which could be a ROCEJ issue. Never mind using the trope for entities that are invisible, which seems strange given the strongly visual nature of the trope.
Suspended them for edit warring. The example itself was already removed by someone else.

, Shiroyama added this.
It's general example ("some people" practically means absolutely nothing), ZCE (how it would count as Eldritch Abominations?), and - to be blunt - make no sense. So I removed it about six hours later, pointed out in edit reason that "Some people" misuse tropes too, so don't mind them. (because I think citing "some people" is the worst issue of this entry, it might be simple ZCE if they state the source myth).
Today, they put it back with minor change
