I added the trope because I figured it fit, because the overall aesthetics of the area of the game we've seen so far has been far lighter and softer than anything seen in the soulsgames except arguably Majula.

My argument is that, even if every other area looks like the swamp of sadness, having just this one area does make the tone of the game lighter, because unlike most Souls games, it's obvious that the world isn't in the process of dying.

However, I am open to the argument that we should see the rest of the game first. I just thought the initial impression was obvious enough.

Safer to wait until they game's out IMO. The most likely scenario is that the game comes out and the trope really does apply, but even if that's the case, having the entire game to draw on will allow us to give fuller context than "this one map screen looks cheerier."

Nothing to be lost by waiting.
