That was an episode of Ulysses 31.

So I only have the memory of one episode: The protagonist group are flying in a spaceship as they usually do when they come to a region under threat of black hole. In that region of space they spot something like a floating island of sorts. It has a beautiful garden, architecture and I think there was a museum of some kind. An old man lives there with his adopted non-human daughter (purple or blue skin, can't remember exactly).
This part is a bit hazy, I believe the protagonists try to warn them of the danger, and something leads to the old man telling the story of how he found his daughter.
[Scene changes to his memories] He stumbles upon some ancient abandoned space station of magnificent beauty, while exploring it he comes across a large chamber, and in the middle of that chamber in a bed/crib of sorts he finds a baby (the daughter) he goes to pick her up, but as he does booming disembodied voices speak in unison, they speak of punishing him for something (I don't remember if it was taking the child or smth else) but in a flash of light he is blinded and he escapes the station.
I'm not sure if the protagonists go to the station or not, but the episode ends with at least the daughter being rescued (can't remember if the old man was rescued too. And they watch the island be destroyed by the black hole (and the station too? not sure)
Apologies for the extremely vague description of one episode, but I remember watching it as a child and I've been trying to find it for a while but to no avail. I'm pretty confident that it is from the USA, it should be from the 80s, possibly late 70s. Thank you.
