I'm not sure on meaning of the reason either, but I'm betting the answer is "no" because one of the requirements for a Franchise page is work pages on TV Tropes in 3 or more namespaces. We only have 2 out of 3, Film.Scream, along with its sequels and Series.Scream. Everything else, as seen in Main.Scream is unrelated and going to Franchise.Scream lists what we do have and, other than Film and Series, everything is subpages.

^ Is that still true now that we have a separate page for Scream (2022)? Do we now meet the minimum 3 or more namespaces?

No. The namespaces need to be different. It needs to be spread to three separate mediums.

^^ That page's namespace is "Film" (Film/Scream2022), so what do you think, taking into account what's been said?

There is a way a franchise page could be made if someone was to make a page for one of the scripts.

That sounds like a shoehorn to get around namespace requirements

Oddly Wikipedia mentions that the franchise includes games on its franchise page, but they are not specified in the article. Looking around I found an indie game at https://stefanocagnani90.itch.io/scream but no "official" games. So there's that.

^ Closest thing to a game I know of is Ghostface being a playable killer in Dead by Daylight.

Yes it is still true because we need a work page in a namespace other than Film or Series. The number of works in those two namespaces otherwise is irrelevant.

I have no idea how that would be a shoehorn Script is a valid namespace and there are multiple Script pages.

Isn't Script usually for scripts that were never produced, or were radically changed? Does Scream have that? Because if not, then it's just troping the movies again but with a lot of the details removed.

I think that's why it's called a shoehorn- since unless there are some never-filmed scripts that got leaked or something, there's nothing that troping the script will do that troping the films themselves wouldn't.

No, the Scream Scripts are versions of the movies that were never produced. You can see them on the CM page.

Then yeah, that's probably fine.

^^ Because most script pages are for scripts that either underwent radical transformation on their way to being produced or were unproduced yet still retain notoriety for various reasons. A produced script of a movie doesn't really add anything, just the same movie once again being troped.

Well, yes, but also no. We're not going to make a page for the script of a film that was already produced, because the work was already troped and that's just an arbitrary duplication. It's not about notability- the movie already includes the script. It's like making an entire separate work page for the illustrations in a picture book under Art/. Technically you could do it, but why would you?

In this case it seems to be fine, but the Notability rule really doesn't protect the case Laser and I pointed out.

I misunderstood a bit I thought laserviking42 was saying scripts needed to be notable.

Perhaps a bad word choice on my part, I was thinking of scripts like Whedon's unproduced Wonder Woman script. I just worry that every aspiring screenwriter would put their as yet unproduced spec script up, but that's another debate.

In the case of the early scripts, the question would be is there enough of a difference from the film to warrant a separate page?

I can't say for sure as I haven't read them but there are enough differences for the two of them to get a CM entry so I assume there is enough for its own page.

I was trying to find the franchise page for the Scream films (1, 2, 3, 4, TV series, and the upcoming 5th). It was deleted to "correct the namespace", which I don't understand.
You called them "the Scream films", which means that you recognize this as a film franchise. A film franchise article belongs in the Film/ namespace. Franchise/ is short for Multimedia Franchise, a work that operates in several different mediums, which is not how you identified the Scream franchise.
