Can you provide the page history links, please? By the sounds of it, it sounds less like vandalism and more like agenda-driven edits and Edit Warring in general.

Maybe? they are edit warring at least. You could try messaging them and asking why this is being done.

Some brief research shows the Chief's name was actually Wahunsenacah, but he was introduced to the English colonists as Chief Powhatan, and they kept on using that name until fairly recently. The Powhatan are a native American tribe, several tribes here in Virginia claim direct descent from them.

So yes, it's technically correct to use Wahunsenacah, also going by the historical record, in European sources he was always referred to as Chief Powhatan.

Thing is, we've discussed this before, and a mod made it clear that the character should be referred to by the name Powhatan, since that's what the character in the movie is named.

Not to mention that if Briskin put back the same edits twice, that's edit warring.

Yeah, this user has brought up things like changing all instances "Inca" to "Quechua" before, but was vetoed.

Seems like a case of Righting Great Wrongs, if not Single-Issue Wonk.

Did JBriskin get blocked.? If so, does this mean that we can put the original edits back?

It seems that JBrisken was kicked out, so I suppose it's okay to put back the original terms.

They're another satisfied customer of Uber Yeets; the page can be put back to the way it was.
