Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
They're more subjective but not so subjective that they allow first person. It's just that the problem is so huge it wasn't enforced until recently.
Working on: Author Appeal | Sandbox | Troper WallAs others have said, they are supposed to be in the same neutral tone of voice as the rest of the wiki. In many cases the first person prefixes to the headscratcher is just wordcruft anyway. The problem is that a lot of the pages date from the It Just Bugs Me era when first person language was commonly accepted, and subsequent editors, even after the change, have just followed that example.
We do try and request that new edits containing them get reworded, although that is harder now with the loss of the relevant notifier, and we do request that, if possible, editors reword first person questions into a neutral tone as they come across them. It is a long, uphill, battle though, and it will take a long time to correct all the new entries, much less the older ones.
I hope that helps answer your query.

Are we allowed to use "I", "me", or "myself" on Headscratchers and WMG pages? I always thought that was the norm since these pages are more subjective in nature than those with trope examples.
