I remember this book too! I even remember the library I found it at and the bookshelf where I found it! Unfortunately, it might have been rearranged or something, since I couldn't find it again. I do remember that it was advertised as "future horror" or something along the lines of it, so all the stories had a SF feel to them.
I also remember some other stories from it: -A boy's scientist mother makes a serum that makes you immortal, so he kills her and takes it himself. However, he's a really cruel person, so his butler (they're rich) pushes him into a construction site and gets him buried in the foundations. -A girl's father invents a way to make trees grow faster, but they end up growing so fast they overrun the earth. -A girl steals a pair of experimental X-ray contact lenses, but they make her see people as moving sacks of flesh and muscle, and also have fused to her eyes, so she throws herself out a window in fear.

It was a collection of horror stories I read as a child. Most were forgettable to me, but I remember two of them vividly.
The first one: A girl goes to see her brother at a facility for children who misbehave. He insults the music that old people listen to, and has a terrible headache afterwards. Nobody will help him, even as the girl gets more and more desperate. Then, it is explained to her that he had an implant that causes pain when he mis-behaves, and her parents agree to admit her to the school as well.
The second one: A girl discovers a phone in her father's office, and discovers that it can call the past. She has conversations with this girl from the past, and the past girl asks the future girl how the past girl will die. The future girl replies a plane crash, which is imminent. The past girl convinces her family to not fly on the plane, but drive to the place they were going to instead.
The plane landed on top of their van, killing them. No-one on the plane was hurt.
