I think there's a thread for discussing whether a character should get a self-demonstrating page, but I might be wrong (it might be an old cleanup thread)

It's here.

There isn't a template, it would just be written like a regular work page except in the character's speech pattern.

Keep in mind that you need to prove that Krueger has a distinct enough voice to warrant a Self Demonstrating page. A lot of people just make the page thinking that it will work itself out and it almost never does.

I think you basically just pretend you are the character in question and write it as they would write it like it's autobiographical. Is this correct?

^ But that's not enough though. Self-Demonstrating pages need to be unique otherwise every plain character ever created would have pages that would fail the witty part of "Clear, concise, witty" rule on TV Tropes. To put it another way, we don't want autobiographical tones. We want characters that can put their character on display.

If the character has no character, then there can be no Self-Demonstrating page as the page would sound like a regular work page then. Does this make sense?

I saw the original idea for a character who interrupts others start as a self-demonstrating page for Foghorn Leghorn. It was clever, but didn't work too well as a monologue. It ended up being rewritten as a regular trope that just mentioned Foghorn.
