Yes, spoiler-tagging an entire example is frowned upon since it risks being a Self-Fulfilling Spoiler (as you don't have any context on what kind of spoiler it is).
Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. So which word should I remove spoiler tag from?
Edited by Bubblepig "Now it's starting to feel like a game!"^Yeah, exactly why people think Autism is a spoiler? I mean I'm autistic myself so it's not a spoiler unless there's a context for it.
"Now it's starting to feel like a game!"Also for Camp Camp, only the later part is a spoiler not the first sentence. I want to summon 2 op who made the example.
"Now it's starting to feel like a game!"Try private messaging the one who wrote the example then.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Well, I think that for movies, fully spoiler-tagged examples aren't as harmful, since most people watch the whole movie in one sitting, so either you've seen the movie or you haven't. There's no "is it safe to look?" problem.
But for serialized works, the episode title or number should always be left visible so viewers can tell when they can safely look at the spoiler.

I found 2 ymmv page examples that I find it bothersome because they spoiler tag the whole sentence that include non spoiler words and real life stuff. Here are the examples. From The Predator
- Narm: Autism, particularly the unrealistic Idiot Savant archetype, being considered "evolution's next step". It only avoids being offensive by being laughable, given how inaccurate by evolutionary science standards it is.
From Camp Camp- Jerkass Woobie: Max retroactively becomes one following "Parents Day". It was hinted before that his parents were neglectful, but this episode confirms it. He spends most of the day being a brat and acting out of jealousy upon seeing all the other kids hanging out with their parents. Then, not only do his parents never show up, it's revealed they didn't even sign him up for a specific activity. They just didn't want him around. The reminder of this is enough to bring Max to tears.
Is it okay to unspoiler tagged some words? Edited by Bubblepig
