Blast. We’re in the add-delete-add cycle. Maybe we can PM them with a link to this ATT?

I PM'd Some New Guy the link to this ATT, since they added their deleted example back.

Its been over four months and Midnight hasn't been mentioned once. We don't even know how she even died.

It's been four months spent on a character who honestly does have bigger things to worry about than one fallen hero he wasn't especially close to compared to others, and a situation in which direct mention of her would be pretty shoehorned. Also I'm taking Aizawa's line to mean "fight now, mourn later". Even if he doesn't the fact he mentions her, period, takes the "forgotten" out of Forgotten Fallen Friend.

I sent PMs to Bio Yu Gi and Jdixon 0151 to let them know about the thread. While the focus is primarily on Some New Guy and their Edit Warring, I thought I should at least let them know given the "discussion in edit reasons" issue and maybe help iron out a consensus.

Some New Guy The manga hasn't ended yet, so we can't be certain that she won't ever get mentioned again. Plus, their society is in a state of turmoil rn, they literally have no time to mourn anyone. But who knows. She may get a proper funeral shot later or something, it's too early to judge.

Exactly my point, not to mention it's not like she was the only person who died in that whole situation. Nobody was really given time to mourn anyone, because its has been just one crisis after another.

$0.02: I agree that it's also too early to say. FFF is not beholden to a timeframe, but it is beholden to the people who would be mourning given the narrative space to do so (and not doing it). Given that the last two months have been about Deku doing his own thing, there is no narrative space for said characters to remember her.

I would also agree that it's too early to tell.

I feel like it's also hard to use FFF after a battle where there were multiple named deaths at the same time. Berserk is the only one I see in the anime list where the friends died along with scores of others.

In MHA, not only was the character in question killed (and we can assume why because the last panel of her alive had her beaten, bruised, and bloody, near-unconscious, as a swarm of villains descended on her), but we had one of the top 10 heroes was killed, two more 10s permanently maimed, other named heroes that the characters knew to some extent killed, and then dozens of others as well.

After this event, for context, a massive prison break occurred, well, *seven*, and the entire Japanese civilization seems to be in a constant state of crime. At this point we don't even know if the titular academy is even working at this point. We've seen two students from another school doing hero work so it gives the impression *everyone* has been busy trying to fight and that, yes, 'fight now, mourn later' is active.
