Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help. It's not for everything, though. Catching a few red flag dog-whistles in that. Notably "diversity is the REAL racism/sexism" and a statement that the "target audience" is uninterested in diversity, which is a classic implication that progressives are never part of the "target audience".
Seriously? They think James Rolfe has "piss-poor time management" because he's a father who actually takes care of his kids?
Edited by GastonRabbitHas Aspie_Gamer been brought up before on ATT? The name sounds familiar.
^ Couldn't find anything on them through a search.
Their name doesn't come up in searches, and from what I can see, the TTI Horrible entry is the only political entry they've made unless you count their edits to Cool Cat Fights Coronavirus (which seem relatively neutral).
Bumping. Worth summoning the user here?
Edited by SkylaNoivernI think it is. The Narm entry wasn't Wiki Worded properly, the entry about James' time management skills used incorrect indentation (specifically, a single third-level bullet point), and the SBIH example was bad enough to be brought up, and then removed by, the SBIH cleanup thread (which also mentioned it was added before the end of the one month waiting period). All of this is in addition to the complaining (and possible ROCEJ violation for the SBIH entry).
I have done so.
@GastonRabbit I suspect the user is cribbing talking points from that anti-Cinemassacre subreddit, who keep making fun of Rolfe saying he has no time to do anything. Which is frankly over the line in so many ways, and I don't get where it's coming from.
Edited by harryhenry@harryhenry I think it's because of this whole batshit insane conspiracy theory that he's being micro-managed by Screenwave (the company that has owned Cinnemassacre since 2015) or something and there's a subset of fans who blame Screenwave for the declining quality of AVGN because they help write the newer episodes I guess. I'm not well-versed in it myself. All I know is that there are some AVGN fans who are bitter at Screenwave for "ruining" the series and place the blame squarely on them like they're an evil corporation invading nice guy James Rolfe's life and forcing him to do the AVGN character past its prime like a caged circus monkey.
Edited by supernintendo128If all of these talking points are coming from a subreddit dedicated to bashing a Youtube channel, wouldn't that be drama importation?
^That, and it sounds like the Memetic Mutation example is coming from a specific place rather than the fandom as a whole. (Note that Memetic Mutation was recently expanded to include fandom memes in general, regardless of whether they mutated, though it doesn't include hatedom memes.)
Edited by GastonRabbitI have removed the entry citing this thread.
Sounds like we got a gamerbro on our hands given their attempts to redefine diversity, equity and inclusion in gaming as a negative.
^^ As for the drama importation comment, I think it has to be specifically something they were involved in. I'm looking at a list
of scenarios right now and I don't see anything that matches up to this.
Sorry if this isn't completely on-topic here, but I realized why the name Aspie_Gamer felt familiar to me
, at least.

Complaining?
The troper Aspie_Gamer has made a few contributions lately that seem to be very complain-y in nature:
I can't seem to find anything else, and I'm not asking for him to be banned, but I am a bit worried.
