Have a question about how the TVTropes wiki works? No one knows this community better than the people in it, so ask away! Ask the Tropers is the page you come to when you have a question burning in your brain and the support pages didn't help.
It's not for everything, though. For a list of all the resources for your questions, click here. You can also go to this Directory thread
for ongoing cleanup projects.
For the most part, Fridge/Headscratchers/WMG generally don't follow the same rules as main/YMMV/trivia pages (see Exceptions in What Goes Where on the Wiki). They seem to function as a cross between main pages and forum stuff (though I've seen alot of disagreement).
I wouldn't tamper with those pages myself.
I didn't choose the troping life, the troping life chose me1. I can't find the ATT, but I know that First-Person Writing is not allowed even in Headscratchers or Fridge pages. The only exception to the rule is the troper's own page.
2. No
, readers are not supposed to answer questions from Fridge pages.
3. It's okay to make minimal modifications to entries in order to remove First-Person Writing, as long as the meaning remains the same. The ATT I linked to suggests that sub-bullets should be removed, since they can be interpreted as Natter.
A month late, but what they said. And it's answered on this post
.
Plus, there's also a cleanup thread
with regards to this.

I'm cleaning up the Danny Phantom Fridge page, and there seems to be quite a bit of First Person Writing and people ignoring Repair, Don't Respond (which I think also counts as natter? this site is a serious rabbit hole). Specifically, there are several spots where tropers discuss alternate interpretations, leading to long threads full of bullet points and personal opinion. I'm not entirely clear on what's discouraged and what's outright banned, but before I mess around and delete/cull stuff, I want to get an official opinion.
To simplify, I have three questions:
1. Is speaking in the first person or using the phrase "this troper" simply discouraged or absolutely not allowed? 2. Are discussions related to the piece of fridge but riddled with personal opinion simply discouraged or absolutely not allowed? 3. What should I do if either of the above are not allowed? Should I delete the unnecessary parts? Move them to a forum?
