Might’ve been an episode of Farscape? Aeryn seems to fit that description, and it aired on the Sci-Fi Channel from 99-03

^| can't remember an episode like that

I've watched most of the Farscape episodes and didn't find an episode with that scene, either. Any ideas on what TV show or movie this might have been from? I know it was from the late 90s/early 2000s and was on the Sci-Fi channel.

Was it a Sci-Fi original on their Sci-Fi Fridays block? Or just a syndicated show they aired?

I can't recall; it could have been either. I imagine it would have been an original show, since it looked new at the time and didn't appear to be a syndicated show from another network.

Do you remember anything about what the ship or the characters looked like?

The woman was wearing a black evening dress, with black pantyhose and high heels. Long hair tied up? Dressed very conventional 20th century evening style despite it being on a ship. The male character resembled someone like a Crichton from Farscape and had a laser gun. During the turbulence, she kicks off her high heels to get a better grip. There is a closeup low angle shot of her kicking them off, I recall. He later finds her strapped to a type of torture chair, but notices she still has on the shoes she discarded earlier. He realizes then she's a hologram, so he shoots it with the gun and it explodes. I want to say the ship resembled something like the Moya from Farscape. I'm unsure if it was an episode of that show, since I don't recall Aeryn dressing in western Earth clothes.

Farscape had a lot of fantasy sequences where the characters are wearing Earth clothes, though. I can remember multiple episodes where Crichton realizes a woman is an imposter ("Won't Get Fooled Again", "John Quixote", "Bringing Home the Beacon") and where Aeryn wears western style clothes ("A Human Reaction", "John Quixote", "Dog With Two Bones"), but none of them match those specific circumstances AFAICR.

Actually (and this is a DEEEEEEP cut) I do remember her wearing a black evening dress in "Farscape Undressed", which was some kind of recap special to remind people what the show was about before we all had the internet.

It must have been another sci-fi show from around that same time (late 90s/early 2000s) with a female character wearing conventional Earth clothes. Any ideas on what it could be?

The Outer Limits (1995)? It's an anthology show, so good luck finding one particular episode with only vague memories.

The only other Sci-Fi Friday spaceship show I'm familiar with is Lexx, but that doesn't sound anything like it unless I've forgotten a season four episode (which is entirely possible).

There's also syndicated reruns of stuff like Stargate SG-1 and Andromeda. Maybe The Chronicle had a UFO episode?

Thank you! I will check all of these out and report back!

Still having no luck finding out this episode in question from a late 90s/early 2000s sci-fi show. Anybody know which show this might be from?
