I'd just remove all three sub-bullets for being a Thread Mode and move the "it aired at 4:00 AM" remark to the main example.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI found this on Mime and Music-Only Cartoon:
- Pingu. Penguins and seals don't talk, after all.
- Of course they do. Penguins speak Penguinese, according to the box.
I don't think the series is even an example of this trope, since it has dialogue that is unintelligible to the audience.
It's because the edit was added before 2010-2012 when the new history mode was implemented, so you can't find the edit without Web Archive.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupLast night, I moved some info about Futurama from No Export for You to Late Export for You. When it was in the former, it had natter saying that it had been averted. After that, I went back to the former to remove what I call “same-paragraph natter” from a paragraph about The Simpsons.
- Esoteric Happy Ending:
- "The Self-Improvement of Salvadore Ross": Salvadore Ross is killed by the father of his girlfriend after selling him his compassion. As much as he had it coming, he's still left a ton of people in his wake including an old man with a broken hand he claims will never heal, another elderly man who lost his fortune and house while young, and his girlfriend who now has a father with absolutely no compassion whatsoever. Though Tropes Are Not Bad, because this serves as a reminder that regardless of his Heel–Face Turn, he still did a lot of terrible things to achieve this Heel–Face Turn and needed to pay for his actions.
I checked the page history and this Justifying Edit (which I bolded) was added on to the entry back in 2016.

Thomas fans needed! Come join me in the the show's cleanup thread!Found on Magikarp Power while doing TRS cleanup:
- This is the nature of One for All in My Hero Academia. It's a combination of a quirk-transfer quirk and a power-stockpiling quirk. It wasn't much originally, but the stockpiling aspect meant that it kept the strength of all previous wielders and greatly improved it. In fact, the first holder was specifically bestowed with the power stockpiling by his brother All For One specifically because it was so weak at first— The first was a Delicate and Sickly boy who wasn't capable of handling even a baseline power thanks to his health complications, and All For One needed a power that would both be useful to him whilst not being strong enough to allow his sibling to actually fight him, due to their opposing ideologies. The eighth holder, All Might, is famed as the World's Strongest Man, and Izuku is naturally going to be even more powerful than him once he masters the power.
- Even more than that. It is eventually revealed that One for All also takes in the Quirks its users have, and they also strengthen thanks to the stockpiling power — although it isn't until Izuku has One for All that this feature is available. Izuku needs to train his Quirk to be able to use it, but when he does he will be able to use seven different Quirks.
Consider it done.

This entry's subbullet in YMMV.The Simpsons S 5 E 19 Sweet Seymour Skinners Baadasssss Song is very obvious natter:
- Values Dissonance: During his suspension, Principal Skinner spends time with Bart, who is a student, to the point of taking him to an Italian restaurant for dinner. Nowadays with so many teachers both male and female being arrested and/or fired for having inappropriate relationships with underage students, teacher-student outings like this wouldn't be permitted without consent from the student's parent(s) or legal guardian(s).
- He wasn't suspended, he was fired. Still unusual for a grown man to befriend a child, but nothing illegal about it.

We should. Entries that look like this:
- This happened.
- Actually, what happened was this, but still.
...are the very definition of Conversation In The Main Page.
Those types of entries also violate Repair, Don't Respond.
QRex seem to be mistaking WMG words for Playing With words, and improperly appends to examples third sub-bullets. Which notifiers should they get and what to do with the edits, cut?
- Jossed:
(Fire Force spoilers)
- Confirmed:
(Fire Force spoilers)
- Again:
(Sinfest spoilers)
This is under The Man in the Iron Mask:
- The ending narration says that Louis XIV (Philippe, in the film's context) brought his country and his subjects "prosperity and peace". In Real Life, Louis spent most of his reign waging war, never changing his ways - as well as persecuting religious minorities such as the Huguenots and Jansenists - and the utter mess he left France in is often considered to be one of the causes of The French Revolution in the long run, along with the inability of his successors to structurally reform the Ancient Régime.
- It makes more sense that this should be understood as an Alternate History fairytale, not a mistake, per se; a sort of "if our dear heroes had been there, they could have saved the other prince and we would have known peace and prosperity!". Some serious Wild Mass Guessing fodder here.
Not only is this second bullet natter, but it comes off as fanwank.

This entry from YMMV.The Moving Finger needs to be either trimmed or condensed, but I'd like a second opinion or two on which would be more appropriate. Is any of the information in the second and third bullets necessary?
- Values Dissonance: An interesting case that goes both ways. Jerry takes Megan out for a trip to London, shopping, dinner, and dancing. This means that they are out together for most of the night, and their return close to the morning scandalizes the village of Lymstock, the general opinion being that Jerry now must marry Megan to make "an honest woman out of her." Nowadays, spending a night out with a man is definitely not objectionable and does not ruin a girl; however, a man forcing a girl he likes into changing her hairstyle and clothes and all that is quite objectionable indeed, while in the book that part is fine.
- Mitigated somewhat in that this isn't presented as Jerry forcing Megan into changing against her will; it is more the final explosion of his ongoing frustration that twenty-year-old Megan has never grown out of the shuffling, dowdy schoolgirl stage (her mother being explicitly uninterested in helping her) and literally has no idea that she even could potentially be an attractive young woman. Jerry also does not pick out her new things himself—he leaves "all that" to Joanna's female dressmaker, and Megan is explicitly thrilled with the resulting, highly flattering transformation.
- Moreover, Jerry tells Megan outright on the train that he is buying her a makeover (which is very different from 'grooming') and her reaction is the same as many small girls being presented with a pony for their birthday. It is clear that this is something Megan wants, but had no idea who or how to ask about it. In the Marple adaptation, she goes to Joanna, who performs the same function (probably due to a combination of running times, location budgets, and the above possible Unfortunate Implications); but in the book, Joanna is too busy playing romantic mind games (which backfire on her) with Owen Griffith for Megan to ask.

found this on gods need prayer badly
•Fanon of Hetalia: Axis Powers has it that the Nations are born when their national identity begins to develop, and "die" when no one identifies with them anymore. •This theory rather strongly brings into question Canada's existence but would explain why he is much weaker than his twin. •Actually, the theory would explain it perfectly, considering that Hetalia takes place around WWII. Canadian historians generally agree that their national identity truly began in WWI, and at some point after Canada gained full independence from the UK. (sorry if this isn't formatted properly, i'm kind of new to this stuff)
Edited by namra on Apr 9th 2022 at 1:04:49 AM
I'd cut the entire thing. The characters are Nations as People and not gods, so I don't see what it's doing at Gods Need Prayer Badly. Also I believe Canada was founded in 1867, way before either of world wars
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupThis was on Ghostapo:
- In Real Life "Ghost Division" was the nickname for the German Wehrmacht's 7th Panzer Division of WWII - thanks to their Lightning Bruiser tactics, even the German High Command had difficulties knowing their exact location. In the Sabaton song Ghost Division the title division consists of both living and undead soldiers, and is fueled by the fear of their enemies
- However, Sabaton also attributes supernatural qualities to a Soviet bomb squadron, the Night Witches.
Not only is the formatting off, but the trope had nothing to do with Soviets having supernatural abilities.
Plenty on YMMV/Survivor :
- One Mario Limit: A guitarist named Jimmy is a dime a dozen, but spelled like that... Not helped by the more famous one being called “Jimmie James” as a session musician.
- Not to mention the Band Sharing a name with the Show.
Should probably merge the second order bullet up.
- Additionally, Adam and Jeremy were accused of having gotten their clean sweep victories in part due to sympathy votes. The new format has emphasized gameplay making that the main factor of someone's victory.
Same here, merge the third order bullet up.
- Boston Rob like Russell, is a repeat offender unfortunately. The only seasons he didn't receive an overly positive edit in were Marquesas and All-Stars (and in the latter, he dominated anyways), to the point where it's become a running meme that Jeff Probst (The host and producer) is madly in love with him. The fact that he praises him every time he comes up doesn't hurt at all...
- In Heroes vs Villains, after he gets voted out Jeff proceeds to rant to the tribe about how they should have voted out Courtney at the next tribal. Oh Jeff...
- But let's be real. You're reading this for his entry on Redemption Island. From episode one, he is the focus, the star of his tribe, and everyone else is described as either having blind allegiance to him or being powerless towards him. Every episode is a coronation to his victory, and he announces this at all points. He has a very sharp advantage in that his is his fourth time, meaning he has four times the experience everyone else doesnote . No tribe swaps or gross food contests (his weaknesses) happen. The season is additionally hyped as one of the best, as the one where "Rob finally wins", as if he was entitled to it. Finally we never actually get anyone's actual gameplay thoughts, and several people have outright contradicted the editnote , indicated he was favored by quite a bit. Someone on his tribe finds an idol on day one (a first), and is never mentioned to have done so at any point. All in all, he's the shining example of this throughout the franchise for this season alone.
- In Caramoan, despite not existing on the season, he's talked up by Cochran early on, talked up by Phillip Sheppard (see below) to a downright annoying extent, and takes tons of time away from the players at the reunion show by plugging his new book.
- This cumulates in Winners at War with him calling himself the best player to ever play despite directly causing his own loss at least 3 times.

Probst's man-crush on Boston Rob is indeed quite legendary among fans, but this could nonetheless easily be edited down to one bullet (and remove some of the conversational language as well.
I'm not even halfway down the page. The whole thing needs a lot of work.
One Mario Limit shouldn't be there anyway. It's Just for Fun and misuse at that.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.
HoMM Fan
Nazi Nobleman has this little argument.
- Erich von dem Bach-Zelewski
a ruthless SS officer, infamous for his atrocities in Warsaw.
- An aversion of sorts. He was a scion of Polish, not German, aristocracy, making him more of a case of Boomerang Bigot.
- Hardly - his family was thoroughly Germanised, and neither he nor his parents had identified himself as Polish - perhaps closer to You Are What You Hate.

I was just going to delete the second and third bullet, but I'd like some opinions.
"Grandmaster Combat, son!"

Just delete the last two bullets and move the first one up.
