No Bisexuals like most fairly negative tropes has a tonne of natter. I cleaned up some of it but there's a huge amount still left.

Edit: Holy cow. What a messed up examples section! I'd say this page could use a very thorough examples purge too.

The Princess And The Frog is a mess and I haven't seen the film so I can't really help.

Beauty And The Beast is to be pretty bad too. Some of the information that gets added seems like it would be worth keeping, but I'm really not sure what that includes.

Actually just glancing through the Disney Animated Canon it seems it's a problem to some degree with almost all of the 90's Disney films.

Real Men Wear Pink has quite a lot of natter. It also seems that many examples are little too literal, but that's the story for another thread.

Update: Informed Attractiveness has a lot of natter too.

Human Aliens, especially the bit about Superman has a ton of confusing Justifying Edits.

[up]Ugh, yes. I'll try to fix the comics part of Human Aliens sometime. One thing that's not entirely clear - is that trope supposed to cover aliens who look entirely human... except for having, say, green or purple skin? Seems to me the trope is really about aliens who look like normal humans in all ways, including skin color.

Combo Platter Powers is in dire need of a purge. Even the trope's description admits that it's rife with justifying edits.

[up][up] So far as I can tell, it means indististinguishable from humans on the surface. Which probably leaves Turanga Leela's inclusion (prior to season 4 or 5 she CALLED herself an alien) up in the air too.

I think skin color means it falls under Rubber-Forehead Aliens doesn't it?

My advice for Combo Platter Powers is to remove any listed Required Secondary Powers.

[up]Yeah, looking at the two tropes and their examples, I think "Looks totally human except for the purple skin" types should be (and, for the most part, are) under Rubber-Forehead Aliens.

Hm, I'm thinking of bringing Combo Platter Powers in to TRS for a general cleanup and restructuring. I'll do that in a bit.

That could probably use an Example Sectionectomy. The lengthy edit wars and justifying edits that page has seen aren't helping.

Final Fantasy XIV

Contention aside, this page really is a bit of a mess. I hope I've got the right thread but, would someone neutral please be so kind as to come in and have a look, and establish which bits are fanboyism gone too far, which bits are bashing for the sake of bashing, which bits are natter and which bits are necessary?

At the very least, someone, please find a way to get that Anti Poop-Socking entry under control. All I can say is that the specifics in the initial paragraph for 'Fatigue' are at least correct however over-large, and there was a brief period where everyone seemed happy to just leave the damn thing at that with the next paragraph as a qualifier to guard against it getting even bigger. Now people have started adding to it again anyway and, while just opinion, given the tension at large in that page and it having some validity, just deleting the expansion doesn't seem an option and I'm lost for how to integrate it all. EDIT: Andrew J was kind enough to take a hatchet to the comments and add a warning notation, so.. 'guess that trope's not so massive a problem any more at least, thankfully.

I've been trying to run maintenance myself, but it should be pretty obvious I'm enjoying the game and thus hardly the most qualified referee of what's actually relevant and what's just the players, the lovers and the haters trying to have the loudest voice (though I have to admit I seem to be the last of the first two camps still bothering to try).

Rock Beats Laser could probably use some pruning. The Star Wars section looks longer than it need to be and the Real Life section comprises about a fifth of the page.
