I'm okay with the Dark Nella "saga", though I've been very vocal about my disapproval of Linkara's storylines in the past.
Something just rubs me really wrong about Linkara (the character), who was once pathetic enough to be living at his parents place in his fifties, becoming The Chosen One whose only defeats are preludes to his victories.

Linkara's storyline comes off the most as a coherent (relatively, anyway) Affectionate Parody of the entire medium he's reviewing. Plus considering he is a much larger fan of DC comics (superheros of utmost moral standing look after the universe) than he is of Marvel (superheros of relatable foibles and troubles look after the universe), any wonder why he comes as the Chosen One?

The main difference between Linkara and the Chick's stories is this:
With The Nostalgia Chick, the "story" is obviously just an accessory to the reviews, to pad them out and have some fun acting in different locations.
With Atop the Fourth Wall, the story is an end to itself. Lewis wants to make a good plot and entertain his viewers that way, while still retaining the reviews.
And that's where my main problem is. While in neither series does the story have much to do with the reviews, in At4W's case it's much more grating (to me) due to how schizophrenic the series has become. He could obviously make an action series about his character defending Earth, but I no longer see why it has to be in Atop the Fourth Wall.
I hope that made any sense.

It made sense. But for me, the reviews actually serves as a set up for whatever small tidbit of the storyline Linkara decides to dish out that week. There are a videos of Linkara's storyline (specifically the Mechakara fight, and where we find out about the magic gun) on You Tube with the reviews cut out and they don't seem to make the same impact as watching them with the reviews intact.

Point.
I skip the story from his reviews, nowadays.
Also, I'd argue against the Atop The Fourth Wall story being an Affectionate Parody of comic books, but comic books are so varied that any Affectionate Parody could be considered an Affectionate Parody of comic books.

And nobody heard from them again. Sorry Nash.
So yeah, the latest Nash was a riot and Dark Nella described most of my feelings about Tron. I suppose I was born in the wrong decade to understand it's greatness for I only found the visuals to be worth something.
The Blog The ArtI feel the Nchicks story just isnt as cool as linkara's, where as linkara has almost allway's had the magic gun with the other elements being worked in over time chick was always (comparativly) more down to earth with no indication of any real signifacents in the world of Super heros magic and zombie's so it seems more sudden. Dark Nella also stopped being funny after the 3rd video where it became way more serious than before

Proveing 12 year olds are the filthist people aroundAgain, that's why people like it. It's about Nella getting vengeance for being abused, the Chick/Nella dynamic and how much of a horrid person the Chick is.
As for taking it seriously, I don't think so. Lindsay has said loads that she knows she can't act and so just has fun. Linkara has this big epic thing that falls short.
No. Not even remotely. The whole thing is a cliche loaded parody, with no indication to be even slightly serious. Linkara on the other hand is pretty much a homage to the Power Rangers, which is played mostly straight.

Dark Nella reviews Tron
in a new Nostalgia Chick.
Can anyone give me a clear answer of why so many people are attacking the Nostalgia Chick for the Dark Nella storyline? I know the storylines of all the reviewers are a Love It or Hate It type of thing but why attack someone for doing exactly what she advertised?
