Is it me or is 90s Kid subverting himself more often then not lately? Maybe Lewis knows that he can't milk that one joke character forever.

Just don't start out by watching...that.

YKTTW Salvage ListOne of the scenes of Futurama that got me to loudly boo at the screen was early in "The Cryonic Woman", when Fry decides to pick a famous celebrity to revive, passes over Weird Al Yankovic as one of the choices, and goes with Pauly Shore instead.
Now, thanks to this review, I can watch a group of people similarly abandon a Tenacious D concert to hang out with him.
What is with Pauly Shore and undermining musical comedy genius, anyway?
Agreed, Taelor.
Those poor employees.
I thought it was Spoony and some friends mocking a training video.
Then about when "Zelda" started talking, it began to slowly dawn on me that this thing actually is the training video, not a parody.
Wow. Just, wow.
Oh god it hurts. "Helps selling 22 iinch chrome rims later, know what I mean".
GAAAAAAAAAAHH!

Looks like Doug is trying out a new skit: Failed Auditions
The first one has his brother impersonating Sean Connery auditioning for the role of Darth Vader: Courtesy Link
I dunno about this. The idea has merit, but the execution on this felt waaay off. To me it just boiled down to someone with a bad Sean Connery accent making off-color jokes and generally acting like an ass. I've seen interviews and "behind the scenes" footage of Mr. Connery, and he seems like a very nice man. Nothing at all like this. They basically force the same dull sex-joke for several minutes.
I like most of Doug Walker's work, and I like the theory of the skit, but this didn't make me laugh, or even giggle. If he does more, I hope he gets a better impersonator on board and puts some more thought into the jokes. Y'know, tailor the jokes to the actor being ribbed.
IMHO it was about as funny as Melvin. Nuff said.
Now if you excuse me, Starfleet is about to award the Christopher Pike Medal to my dick. — SF DebrisReally, what most disturbed me about that comic was Miller's ever more apparent misogyny, particularly the Rape Is Love overtones.
The Philosopher-King ParadoxMan, the first movie was already an inadequate adaptation of the book, but it at least had the decency to be a good movie in its own right. This one is just... terrible.
... also am I being a sexist jerk here or is the childlike empress ugly as butts?
In any case, that was a nice episode! The Critic used some actual jokes here instead of just screaming a lot, so that's good. I laughed especially hard at his version of how the movie should have ended, followed by him dancing to the song.
