Thanks guys. Thanks a lot. Joshua gets knocked out by the Master AI, and do you help him? No. You leave him there, to become a mindless shell.

-_- ... Still, at least Shard is safe (correction, it just occured to me that Shard was captured by the valgirai, wasn't her? He'll probably be gone, forever).

It's not a major issue, I suppose. On friday I'll be gone for TWO ENTIRE WEEKS... but yeah.

Not to mention that the Darkness is still there in Joshua's universe... and we've only dented the Master AI. Ergo, the multiverse'll die, most of my characters are dead...

Oh, and I still haven't finished Awad's tale (though I sort of planned on finishing that when I return...)

Anyway, just know that I'm well and truly miffed... I'm not happy.

Glad that I'm not only one who thinks hes being ignored =D(yes, I'm not even sure what you are talking about)

And yes, I know that when I say anything, its 99% of time something that doesn't need to be responded to. I'm just stupid enough to get still depressed ^_^

Guys, if we're going to get butthurt because our characters aren't getting enough attention I'm out, I'm not going to witness arguments over something like that, it's just silly.

Unrelated: When I get on later, can someone give me a rundown? Not reading 20+ pages.

All I know is, I got a kick out of being a random encounter (if anyone remembers the Tapdancing Skeleton). Should I do it again?

I'm sorry for being blunt, but that's just stupid. My characters (the non-action ones) get ignored a lot too, but I don't complain or mope.

Suggestion: If you absolutely, despereatly want your own story arc you can control with impunity make your own thread. Just because we moved it to RP doesn't mean WAOA is suddenly SERIOUS BUSINESS.

Well, I try to involve as many characters as I can (I wasn't on last night, so I've got an excuse :p), but there is a limit of how much detail we can process when it moves as fast as it does.

Besides, if you weren't there how were we supposed to know Joshua was there? We usually let characters fend for themselves when they're not being played.

Also, I also see that more and more are beginning to think up their own story arcs. That's very good, and I'm looking forward to them. But make sure that they're implemented slowly, preferably over a couple of days, so that people can get used to them and last over some time, so that everyone can participate. Of course fights are excepted from that last one; I just mean more fights. I'm not talking to anyone specific, this is just advice for future arcs. The more familiar we are to them, the more fun for everyone and the more satisfying it gets to come to a conclusion.

I'm not irritated about being ignored, I'm looking at it more from a plotline perspective...

Sorry if you misunderstood what I meant.

What I meant was that Joshua was knocked out, and no one seems to notice, that's all... o_O

In my final post before leaving, I mentioned Joshua was knocked out by the AI's lazer.

But yeah. That's that. Joshua's dead. Hurray, or something... -_-

Hmmm. I wanna stop narrating and take a more direct role, but I can't think of a good character. Any ideas? (Daddy and Sister weren't going anywhere)

Ah, okay, thanks. I don't mean to sound like I'm whineing (though I porbably do... o_O), but I do like have my characters go through some sort of happy or at least bittersweet ending...

Or at least an ending at all, nya? I understand what you mean, it'd be a bit bad to have it all be for naught. If you'd like, she could've disabled the AI for you as well (master technician, nya), but that's up to you. It's perhaps a bit too much to have done off-screen.

...seriously going this time.

Seriously, Grayson? You leave at the most inopportune times. You always have. In addition, it's a world of your own creation, so we just can't wiki up info and have someone else continue. I like the world, but it's kind of hard to do something when the one with the best knowledge of the world leaves in the middle of a fight.

Note that despite Maria practically being a main character at this point with her own impressive story arcs and stuff, they are rarely my idea. The farthest I've gone is occasionally playing another Castlevania character, mostly Alucard, when I had to. Note that the only times I tried to be DM is Castlevania World and the World that worships "The Renard."

@Spain Sun: Ah, sorry... I though that "=D" at sentence implied I wasn't being serious...

I'm not really bothered that much about feeling that I'm ignored.(I have crappy time zone, so of course I will be here only when everybody is not being interested...) And that little part that actually cares is just my paranoia combined with my self esteem..

Just because we moved it to RP doesn't mean WAOA is suddenly SERIOUS BUSINESS.

This. It honestly should have been moved to RP long ago, but it's still the same thread. It's pretty much the least structured, most accessible RP out there, and I like it that way. Lemurian expressed concern to me before, during the whole vampire business, that he, I, Katrika, and Game Guru GG, as the most active members of the thread, might accidentally be dominating the thread with these grand plot arcs and making newcomers feel like they might not be able to just jump right in. Now, telling these big stories is a lot of fun, but we ought to try and ensure that we're not being control freaks. That's not the point of WAOA. There is no one GM. The emphasis here ought to be accessibility and flexibility. The fun of this stems from the fact that it doesn't take place in one predetermined setting and we can have characters from all different places interacting with each other, I think. We jump all over the place, so it's natural we might have to put one story aside for a while and come back to it later.

That's my thoughts on the matter. Sorry if I was a bit long-winded.

Too Long Didn't Read version: everyone should try to be flexible and accommodating of their fellow RPers, and everybody should have a shot at running the show if they want.

BTW, on actual RP, I think I will post next time when I actually have time, aka am not addicted to ogre battle 64(which might take while...), school is not starting in hour or when that short vacation starts(Eastern vacation? Anyway, at least here it consist of friday to monday. Aka only two days less school =P).

Indeed. I plan out very few things in advance. Much of my foreshadowing comes from picking up on previously dropped plot threads. I've said before that I am a master at continuity, so I remember unimportant events that I later go back to and put in more detail. But it also has the side effect of having an sorta edit war if I am undecided when I should reveal something like the recent one over Maria's bite mark from Yuki. I've already decided that it will leave a scar much like Kari's and Outcast!Remilia's scars. I just don't know when to reveal it. Of course, I also know the biggest weakness of this is Continuity Lock-Out and Continuity Snarl, though when I end up confronted with either, I usually make it a Running Gag.

Yeah, I too like to just make up things as I go. It seems to work out very well.

Why would there be a problem with the other characters knowing that all those bites (let's see... Kari, Yuki... I think she got bit at least three times, but I don't remember by who... O_o;) left marks? Are there going to be any effects aside from just a nasty scar?

Continuity is obviously harder to do in something like this compared to a more traditional RP with a fixed setting and characters. That's why it's important to be flexible.

Indeed, I'm extremely flexible for a person who likes continuity. If it gives an awesome story, I don't really care. Oh well, I might drop the bite mark thing if it is too much trouble.

Indeed, I also love saying "indeed."
