Why is Plesioth of all monsters so freakin' big?
It's tied to their ability to hit you with their hips when you're on the other side of their body.
The pinned comment in the video has some clarifications regarding certain choices and errors made by one of the people who worked on the video. Still, it really says a lot of what kind of world the Hunters live in.
No wonder Hunters are freaking strong, considering what they share the world with.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."Not to mention the old lore that all Hunters are descended from an ancient Super-Soldier project.
Disgusted, but not surprisedIt's neat to see another Temnoceran join the cast.
I also appreciate the closer look at Rey Dau. I wonder if it's not the Flagship, as the trailer doesn't seem to give it the sort of heavy emphasis you'd expect a Flagship to have. Cool monster nonetheless.
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."Funnily enough, Frontier had scorpion-based monsters, but those were classified as Carapaceons instead of Temnocerans. I think it's because there wasn't a Temnoceran class at the time, so it's likely that a new scorpion monster might be a Temnoceran instead of a Carapaceon.
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."Well, reclassifications are a thing in the series. Bullfango were Herbivores before being reclassified as Fanged Beasts. Same with Remobras being called Flying Wyverns but then Snake Wyverns. I think the Frontier team didn't feel comfortable with creating a new monster class for the scorpion monsters since those are usually done by the developers of the mainline games (heck, the Portable team wasn't comfortable at first either until they introduced the Fanged Wyvern class with Zinogre).
135 -> 180 -> 273 -> 191 -> 188 -> 230 -> 300 -> 311Here's a neat idea for a Guest Fighter: Gyaos.
Its body type and fighting style fits fight in with the Flying Wyvern. It can fly, shoot sonic beams, and attack with claws. For its own gimmick it could chomp on the player to drain their HP. Gyaos are depicted as varying in size, with the juvenile being reasonably Rathalos-sized and the adults being properly Kaiju-sized.
Continue writing our story of peace.![]()
Speaking of snake wyverns, I wonder if Wilds will introduce any new snake wyverns. I think the only snake wyvern bosses we have at the moment are the Najaralas.
Seeing the new monsters makes me hope that a Monster Hunter Stories 3 is somewhere down the pipeline, especially if we get to see monsters from Monster Hunter: Rise and Sunbreak.
Though one of my biggest hopes in a new Monster Hunter Stories game is more "final boss-type" monsters from the main series. The games we do have mostly just use Fatalis, but it'd be cool to have boss fights against monsters like Amatsu, Gogmazios, Nakarkos, Narwa, etc.
By the way, I'm apparently seeing news that armor designs are no longer gender-locked?

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."Oh, that's nice! I hope to see people get more creative with their outfits.
On the topic of Stories, I found a nice video of the Stories anime introducing the Numbers, AKA a group of Felynes that were experimented on and given monster genes. I always loved how sentai-esque the Numbers are, and I'm kind of sad they don't appear in Stories 2.
Fitting, considering that Navirou's voice actor is no stranger to acting in sentai shows.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."I posted a video from Tea Common Shark a while back showing off monster sizes. They unlisted the video since they said it's outdated and had a couple errors, and they recently posted a new monster size comparison video with more monsters this time.
And yes, Plesioth is still freaking huge.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."I've been getting into MH World again and just got to High Rank for the first time.
I was struggling to find a weapon that I really vibed with for most of Low Rank and ended up defaulting to Sword and Shield for a lot of the time since it was the easiest to use, but it turns out Dual Blades were the ticket. I was a bit concerned that stamina and mode managemnt would be an issue and they kinda are but you can still play relatively conservatively with demon mode to be safe and do good damage (in contrast to my attempts playing with lance where fights were taking forever and I was carting to relatively easy monsters).
Nothing has really felt difficult since I started using them, even the supposedly toughest monsters in LR (Diablos and Rathalos) were first try victories and pretty manageable, though I did read up in advance to use Flash Pods for the latter so he wouldn't waste my time with his obnoxious flying.
