Well rathalos and bracy are both apexes, right? It does make sense.
Also makes hunts alot easier dor either partt, hue hue.
Whatever the red glowing one was at the end of the trailer.
Most of the rest of the them are new to me anyway, having only played Tri prior to World. Glad to see some ones I do know returning though (actually, is it just Barioth?). I remember in Tri having to make a sword and shield just to fight Barioth with, because my favoured weapon at the time, the Switch Axe, was just too slow. Or more likely I wasn't as good with it as I thought :P
Yeah, the red glowing monster is Namielle. It's a new Elder Dragon.
Looks like a comb jelly. Cool.
Also, the Tracker is my favorite NPC from World, so itís nice to see how involved she seems to be with the DLC.

New TV commercial, new monster!
Featuring Deviljho getting fucked up by Yian Garuga.

It's pretty awesome to see a bird wyvern, which is mostly filled with some of the weakest monsters in the series, actually manage to hurt Deviljho, who normally curb stomps everyone not named Bazelgeuse or the Greatest Jagras.
There's a bounty for Lunastra today, so I decide to try arch-tempered Luna, thinking I'd done it before and it wouldn't be so bad... either I haven't done it before, or I seriously misremembered the difficulty. I managed to survive Supernova the first time, I think just by getting far enough away, but I utterly failed to survive any other time.
Damn, I kinda want to try a few Luna hunts today then. Unfortunately my controller's broken, and the A button is stuck so I can't even interact with menus with it.
Understandably, I can't hunt like that.
Featuring sick flips and a better look at Namielle
Namielle looks so cool.
Also, great to see the Zinogre finally in. Can't wait to see how those who started with World react to the original Fanged Wyvern and its super badass theme song.
We have the Zinogre vs. Rathalos turf war:
The first post-launch monster for Iceborne is slated for October and it's...
Worth noting is that Rajang here is the first non-Wyvern/ED large monster to be added to World, not counting Leshen.
Man i thought every monster in the series was a wyvern of sort or elder deagon. Oopsies.
I believe all the non-Wyverns classifications to have large monsters are Fanged Beasts (as seen above), Amphibians, Neopterons, Carapaceons, and Temnocerans (which are unique for having only one known monster in general, not even other small monsters.)
The Japanese name for the Leviathan classification translates to "sea wyvern" more-or-less, so they count as wyverns assuming their draconic natures didn't tip you off already.
Ouch. People who started with World, you're in for a hairy time with the Rajang.

Can't wait to see Rajang's turf wars. Will we finally get the Deviljho vs. Rajang fight of our dreams?
Edited by MJTrooper on Sep 3rd 2019 at 8:44:11 AM
They don't get a turf war. Instead, they get a bonding event where they take one look at each other, then agree to team up on you.
so any idea when pc iceborne launches? or is it releasing at the same time as console this time?
I think I saw the PC Iceborne comes out in Jan 2020.
If we get a Rajang vs. Deviljho Turf War it should involve Rajang supplexing Deviljho. Why? Because why the hell not?
>people talking about a Rajang/Deviljho turf war
Woe to you of poor taste for immediately jumping to something so superficial.
Rajang/Kirin turf war
Edited by Krika on Sep 3rd 2019 at 5:58:30 AM
That's already a thing, actually.
Speaking of, is Kirin in any turf wars? I don't think there's any other Elder Dragons in its area at all. I thought Kushala showed up there but it's only in Elder's Recess and the forest.
Edited by Hashil on Sep 3rd 2019 at 8:21:56 AM
No, Kirin isn't in any turf wars as far as I can tell.
not even with clifford the big red dog? i thought that gudboi was the only monster that sticks around when an elderdragon is around
