It's a completionist thing. It's very frustrating that I'll just... never be able to get my weapons truly dialed in where I want them because getting them augmented takes forever.
I mean, if this is a completionnist thing, start throwing yourself into tempered elder dragons until you get size crowns for each of them, you'll get your streamstones on the way.
There's even a quest to farm investigations for that on PC right now.

which one is that?
also seriously what am i doing wrong with the friggin phantom bird triggers
ghillies mantle, no palico, 30fps mode, face away from herd with character and camera, swivel back every 20 seconds or so or until you hear chirping...
..nothing. am i too close? too far away? ugh
Tracking Delivery, if I'm not reading the wrong one. the collect goal is just there to give you a win condition. the real catach is that there's elder dragon tracks scattered across the map.

you stay turned away *until* you hear chirping. not before.
so basically never turn round, ever. got it.
thats what ive been doing for the last hour. doesnt work.
I just fast traveled between the first camp of the forest and the first camp of the wastes to get the downy crake; they spawn on the small monsters that are always just outside there, so only ghillie if you see them.
So, question as someone relatively fresh into Generations Ultimate who just defeated her first Glavenus and is aiming to take on Elder Dragons soon.
Any general tips for timing dodges outside of Evasion+3? I know you're supposed to generally move towards the attack so that the hitbox passes quicker, but I'm not sure when the intangibility kicks in for rolls. Is it the time between starting the roll and actually hitting the ground?
For the most part I've just been giving monsters wide berths and just staying out of harm's way altogether instead of rolling, but I feel like that's more ideal for some weapons than others. (i.e. SnS wants to attack nonstop so the less you dodge the better, while GS is gonna want to do it often since it's how you open windows for big swings and make the most of monsters leaving themselves vulnerable.)

well after 2 hours of this nonsense ive managed to spawn a bristly crake.
but those dont count towards this quest so i guess ive not managed anything at all
wow this is so much fun i wish the entire game was like this
just, yknow, total trash.
I had no trouble getting the downy crake once I knew where and how to look. I think I pretty much just wandered the spots where the herbivore herds usually are until I saw some, maybe zoning in and out once or twice.
Took me a lot longer to get the ancient fish though, I was doing a lot of Vaal Hazak at the time, so I'd just check the pool on my way.
Can anyone else confirm this about nergigante?
Elder dragons are weird creatures beyond even Monster Hunter's loose standards of conventional science so that sounds about right.
so basically incoming nergipocalypse in the new world.
i wonder how many nerg spikes i have in me
That's just... Kinda... Okay sure. Whatever. Rolling with it.
man, I mainly use LBG but I started a new character and am playing through it with HBG and I am just having a ton of fun.
I severely favor wyvernsnipe over wyvernheart.
I want to try to git gud with heavy guns, in World.
Hint for anyone who wants to gun, you can put 'craft ammo' on your radial menu, so you just select it and it automatically crafts stuff.
Which is handy for anyone who needs ammo, since you burn through it quick.
Yeah, I have some crafting stuff on my radial menu, might have a look at putting ammo on it.
on LBG I didn't have to care about it too much until I started doing stickybombing.
Devil's Madness with 3x Slugger is kind of rude.
Is the Witcher crossover a limited thing, or is it here to stay like Behemoth?
Not sure, but I do know I love how my gothy huntress Runa can now cast Igni!
