There's a lot I didn't get. I think Yoh was one of them. Why did Saya do that to her?
And why did she mess with the neighbour's mind? I thought it was because she wanted more human sperm, but she clearly didn't want to have sex with him. If she wanted him dead it would have been easier to kill him in her monstrous form?
I enjoyed it, though. I guess the asylum ending was the 'game over' ending but it was technically the best one. So my favourite ending was the one where Kouji and Doctor Tanbo kill Fuminori and Saya.
My favorite one is the "Saya blooms" ending. It feels like the only worthy conclusion to a Cosmic Horror Story.

^Loved that ending for artistic reasons. If it was any other story, this would have been a beautifully romantic bittersweet ending. However, since the reader knows what is actuallly going on, it becomes a showcase of incredible horror.
Applauded for twisting the tropes like that.
Though I must say that the other ending, where Kouji emerges 'victorious', felt better as an ending to this tale.
EDIT: Oh, and the reason that Saya did that to Yoh was because she is one crazy jalous bitch, and wanted to reduce Yoh, her 'rival', into a plaything. And because the writer felt like putting in a threesome.
Am I the only one who is bothered by the blatant porn scenes in stories that don't really need them to gain an audience?

^Because the writer felt like putting in a rape scene. That is the only reason I can think of, considering that Saya should have been able to fight off or at least escape the dude.
I mean, come on. She was shown to be able to hide in a 5 centimeter high space, hunt cats, hang from a ceiling, break the neck of a grown man, produce acid strong enough to melt away a window lock and change body features of any living creature on a whim. There is no way in hell that she could not have resisted him somehow if this were a normal scene.
Goddamm porn scenes. It's bad enough when they have to annoy me by simply being there, but now that had to ruin the plot as well?

^That's a justification, but not a very good one. So I'll just stick to the 'writer forgot that she isn't a cute little girl for the sake of rape'.
That being said, I just love how the concept of 'madness' is used here. The way all those monstrous happenings and logic made perfect sense in the mind of the local Villain Protagonist whose name I keep forgetting, up to and including the way he found Saya feasting on the corpse of his best friend was 'cute'.
In many other stories, you can simply tell a mad person 'dude, that's not what it's like', and all they can react with is 'YOU ARE WRONNNNNGGGGGG (insert murder here)'. Here, it made perfect sense why the nutcase started thinking the way he did, and it's hard to believe that you (as in, the reader) would have turned out any differently.

yeah , i hated the rape too , but it was necessary to show people as monsters , i guess it wasn't enough for the writer that he killed his wife and girl ,
although saya's very capable , she's pretty weak , like a girl maybe she was not like that before developing emotions and stuff ...

On the bright side, it gave me a laugh.
Western adaptations always screw stuff like these up. And they made her so ugly for some reason....
Imagine what a westernized Fate/Stay Night would be like...Saber would probably be an actual man.
Or Touhou for a non VN case.

I just got this game and played through it, and got all three endings. Jesus christ, I don't think I've ever wanted a character to die as much as I want Fuminori to. I remember when he was with Saya in the "Bloom" ending, I was thinking, "Fuck yeah bitch, now rot in hell like the worthless scum you are! DIE DAMMIT, DIE YOU FUCKING WHORE!". And then she didn't die and I was fucking pissed. That's how strongly I hated Saya and Fuminori.
God damn, amazing story though. I wanna search out more VN's now..
