Normally I'm pretty chill about just waiting for stuff to come out when it comes out, but every now and again I'm looking forward to a game enough to where a few days wait for my platform pisses me off, usually I don't feel it's that big of an inconvenience.
I just really loved the first poker night, and this one seems like it's going to be hilarious.
The Skyrim DLC one had me in a frothing rage though.

Even the Skyrim DLC doesn't deserve frothing rage (annoyance is fine). Frothing rage over a game arriving later on your preferred platform is a really good contender for being made fun of by a First World Problems meme. Or if you'd rather: life is short, no sense burning rage on things that are so trivial in the big picture.

So apparently, Claptrap is the best player on the table, Ash likes to throw away his money, especially pre-flop, and Sam keeps waiting too long for good cards to show up. Brock doesn't seem to have a consensus, as one person said he likes to basically call everything, while so far In the videos I watched I've seen him trying to randomly bluff every hand.
From what I played, it was like this:
Claptrap = Max (average player skills)
Ash = Strong Bad (Habit of betting lots of money and bluffing)
Brock = Heavy (Plays it safe, usually bets when they have a good hand)
Sam = Tycho (similar to the previous one, although prefers acting with less people involved)
"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!At least Tycho had a somewhat amusing line every now and then when he folded. Still doesn't stop me crossing my fingers that anyone on the table eliminates him.
And I don't think Brock is really Heavy. He seems to pretend to be the "only play with good hand" type, only for his plays to always be shit hands. I know Heavy did that sometimes, but he never thought he could bluff an all-in with a 4 and a 2. Hell, I think that makes him closer to Max if anything.
Regardless of their playstyles, how does the getting them drunk work anyway? Do they have even more lines for when they're pissed? Does it just make them show off tells more often? Can you order them more and more drinks or do they just take the one drink? I heard somewhere that they basically just show their tell when they get a drink so you can recognize it later. Drunken Clap Trap is necessary.

Well, I just got the Necrinomicon and won two tournaments now.
In my experience, Claptrap's the one to beat.
And I just plain suck at Omaha.

I now go by Graf von Tirol.Lost my first tourney against Ash when it was just 1v1 and I tried to call his bluff and go all in, since he had a 50k advantage on me in his bank.
But just won my second tourney in a row, and got Claptraps bounty item. Finished buying the whole set for the Venture Brothers too. Haven't tried Omaha.
Claptrap hitting on Glados is hilarious.
Yeah, Claptrap can be absolutely nasty sometimes. That said, it's Sam who's been giving me the most trouble lately. He just keeps calling my bluffs and wiping me out. Clever dog can smell my fear...
Also, I love how my game can go from "oh dear" to "HELL YES" to "waitwhat" with three successive cards. Just when I thought I'd won the hand, Ash gets lucky with a straight.
I guess we could go... wherever we please.>Clever dog can smell my fear...
It would be interesting if they actually coded his AI that way, to have a chance to accurately guess if you were bluffing. In the first game, getting away with bold bluffing was very profitable. Then again, they made outright allusions to Max's in-character psychic powers and he didn't actually have those.
Yeah, in terms of threat, it seems to go Ash (all in, all the time. I don't think I've seen him last less than three rounds before bleeding his money away), Brock (he's just not that good...), Sam (not much to say about him), Claptrap (I want to punt him. He's not even like Tycho, who plays ultra-conservatively. He's just good. Plus, I can't really see what could possibly be a tell of his, since he's both an inhumanoid robot and spastic enough already.)
The first round ever, though, was hilarious. EVERYONE went all in.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about. My big issue with this game, is that the AI is way too aggressive with all ins. Like, they happen a lot more often than in the first game.
I've only seen 2. Claptrap doing something that resembles a sighing motion, and him slightly perking up after he sees his cards. Yeah, out of all the characters, I'd suggest prioritizing him if you're gonna buy drinks for others.
Wait, looking at the achievements, seeing as how the achievement icons basically match what we've seen of each character's bounty ... Is Wheatley G La DOS' bounty? LOL though granted it might just be a personality core, but with his popularity who knows
Still trying to complete the set of challenges in order to play for GLaDOS' bounty. One such challenge is winning a showdown with a high card hand. Damn, it's going to be a while at least...

I now go by Graf von Tirol.

Staggered releases have their benefits, mostly for the burden of customer service workloads. If the difference is just a couple days, there isn't really a point complaining, unless you can show that it's happening because of MS wanting exclusivity periods, like for the Skyrim DLC.
