I know we already have a couple threads dedicated to PIXAR (one for people who don't like the films and one that discusses the distaste for the insane fandom in general), but as a dedicated PIXAR fan/geek/super nerd/ insane cult follower, I really felt that this company deserved their own general fandom topic. C'mon Tropers! I've seen the pages on Toy Story, A Bugs Life, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, Cars, Ratatouille, WALL-E, Up and their short films. They're practically covered with TearJerker, Crowning Moments of Funny and Awesome, so I know I can't be the only one here who enjoys their films!

So please, Post Your Random PIXAR Love Here!

Also, for those of you who just completely skipped my first paragraph entirely, I LOVE PIXAR. Seriously, I grew up with Toy Story, and as a current robotic enthusiast, I can proudly say that I've built my own Microbe Obliterator, Environmental Vegetation Evaluator (which can also fly), and my own Autopilot. Also, I made my own Pixar Lamp.

Either that, or I'm completely insane.

Don't have any material goodies to share, but I'll fight tooth and nail against anyone who belittles their work, their talent, or their love of great storytelling. I'm still waiting to see a Pixar movie that actually disappoints me, and they still haven't managed to do so...

Theres sex and death and human grime in monochrome for one thin dime and at least the trains all run on time but they dont go anywhere.

The only Pixar movie I didn't see was Cars. But I LOVED all the other ones.

Pixar manage to give machines, bugs, fish and toys a personality, which I'd say is pretty hard to do.

The only Pixar movie I didn't see on opening weekend was Ratatouille, and that was only because I somehow got the impression that it was a dud.

When I finally saw it, I facepalmed at how wrong I was to doubt Pixar.

I think the most touching section of TV tropes I've ever read was the page on Up and Toy Story that someone wrote "If you aren't crying by the end of this film you have no soul. I actually kind of teared up when I read it.

I must have no soul then, cause I didn't cry at either of those movies. Misty eyes, but not full blown crying.

I love Pixar. They manage to be funny without ever being obnoxious, something very rare in entertainment these days.

I saw a recent documentary about Pixar's history. Jesus, they make it look like the best place to work in, like ever.

I didn't cry either. I didn't even get misty eyed. I did, however, get melancholy and thoughtful on the way home...

Ratatouille makes me wish Lou Romano (Linguini's voice) was a "real" voice actor, one who gets hired for a lot of things, because I love how perfectly adorkable his voice is.

Pixar's tradition of having at least one character per-movie voiced by someone on staff is not only amusing, it shows how multitalented they are!

The slug-lady in Monsters Inc, Crush in Finding Nemo, Edna in The Incredibles, Remy in Ratatouille, EVE in Wall-E, I know I'm missing some...

Oh man, Dug and Linguini are such amazing characters. Its amazing how many non-professional voice actors, or "Scratch Voices" Pixar uses for their finished films.

As someone who grew-up with Toy Story, I can't say I don't have a major soft spot for the company. They're probably the only studio out there that can say they've never made a genuinely bad movie.

The only one I haven't seen is Toy Story 3, but that's only because I haven't had a chance to go to the movies in a long time. I'll definatly be buying it when it comes to DVD.

WALL-E's voice is synthetic (I think), and EVE's isn't by a member of the crew either. Apparently uncredited, but her IMDb page says she's one of the crew that does the scratch voices.

The late Joe Ranft voiced Heimlich, Lenny (the binoculars), Wheezy, Jacques and a couple of Cars characters.

Yep, also voiced by Bob Peterson (aka Dug).

Even though Wall-E and Eve's voices were synthetic, Ben Burtt created them by modulating real human voices (his own and Elissa Knight's, respectively).

Yeah Dory's pretty cool, particularly hilarious since she's voiced by Ellen Degenres. But what I found extremely surprising is when I found out that Andrew Stanton, was not only the voice of Big Bad Zurg but also the Erudite Stoner Crush. What? They don't even sound the same!
