We need to go back to Tellius for multiple animal-hybrid species. It's been lame having only dragons and maybe one other beast if you're lucky for the past decade.
Does anyone actually read these?I certainly wouldn't say no to more dragon themed after snakes, as I really liked the Fell Dragon designs in Engage.
I hope one day we get a Fire Emblem snake-dragon as glorious as the Dalamadur:
Hear me out on an aquatic Fire Emblem game about pirates, mermaids, and fishmen
Best advice I ever got? Keep repeating the joke till everyone is forced to laugh.Like, I'm actually curious because doesn't scalie mean the thing has to have scales? Seriously I'm curious now.
Seteth would count as scalie. Assuming he had a dragon form.

"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"Oh, you mean the thing that's also been called the "Great Red Dragon?"
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."I don't know if we'd ever get mermaids in a Fire Emblem game, but I could see a dragon character that has a mermaid theme for both human and dragon form.
Heck, if I had heard about the personal class of Zephia and Zelestia before I saw their character design, I probably would have guessed they had a mermaid theme.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."...It just struck me that Rhea tried to revive Sothis for +1000 years by doing the exact same thing the Agarthans do to cheat death; by shoving her soul (Crest Stone) inside a vessel so it would resume living under that body.
The thing is, Rhea's error was that she tried to brute force things to happen compared to TWSITD who understand how their own cores work to a scary degree, to the extent Byleth becoming a functional vessel was more of a happy mistake than anything.
The timeline of events also make me wonder if Rhea came up with the idea by seeing some Agarthan's corpse during the War of Heroes, noticing they had a weird crest-stone like thing in their chest, and realizing many years later what exactly that meant.

It is pretty funny that Rhea spent all that time trying to revive Sothis but on the VW route, the Agarthans just revive the very man who killed her out of pure spite.
Like, that's Reverse Flash levels of petty right there.
"The Black Rage makes us strong, because we must resist its temptations every day of our lives or be forever damned!"No. That's the Agarthans. Reverse Flash Levels of pure spite is pretty much par for the course with them.
One Strip! One Strip!I feel like Leda's meant to be Indian-analogous. Her dancing even has Mudras. Dollars to donuts says she's Almyran.
People have definitely noted SS and VW feel like they swapped final bosses, but I also like what we got.

You are not alone. That's assuming she did see a dead Agarthan during that time. Given how secretive they are and how often they hang back during battles, such corpses were probably in short supply.
And that's assuming when she did clash as them, she left enough of a body to be identified. I'm fairly confident that the scene where we see her torch Epimenides and his crew probably didn't leave much bodies behind...
We do know that she has tried more than one method of bringing back Sothis, with the Cindered Shadows DLC revealing that she had tried the Chalice but stopped once she realized how dangerous it was.
I mean, she did succeed in bringing Sothis back, just not in the way she imagined.
I still have a headcanon that in Silver Snow, one of the Javelins of Light hit the container that had Nemesis in it and vaporized him, explaining his absence in Silver Snow.
Ah Nemesis. He's one of the reason why most of my Three Houses crossover fics have the Three Houses cast at a disadvantage; he's the supposed World's Strongest Man, yet he performs poorly in the first battle we see him in.
The other reason, of course, is that my most common pick for a crossover has some pretty bonkers power levels.

Three Hopes does give you that.
Verdant Wind kind of does it as well; while the final boss is Nemesis, he is basically a Slitherer attack dog, so you're still fighting them by proxy.
Actually, I'm not even sure it's just "by proxy," since some Slitherers are present on the battlefield trying to kill you as well.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."

Shit posting aside, imagine if we did get more snake like beast units.
It worked for Sombron and Nel.
