I stand by that if tier lists are going to be ignored, then it should not be in Tier-Induced Scrappy. Just go with Base-Breaking Character and be done with it.

At this point the only thing that would resolve this is a vote to figure out the consensus.

Sincerely no offense meant, and also not trying to be dismissive of people disagreeing with me, I just don’t think we’ll get anywhere like this.

Edit: Based on the ATT and discussion page, plus some stuff said in this thread, looks like most people are in favor of moving it to Base-Breaking Character.

Lack of concrete evidence of low opinion on Sothe, let alone professional opinion.

Yeah there's two different opinions about Sothe, but one of them is based on actual facts and results and the other doesn't really seem to be based on anything. As mentioned before, you can find opinions on basically anything. Hell, I distinctly remember finding a post about Seth being a bad unit while archive binging this bery thread. I think they also liked Amelia and disliked Franz, but my memory is foggy on those parts. I also remember someone disliking dancers, including the herons who can refresh up to four units at once.

Franz is completely unstoppable and never actually died during my quest through Sacred Stones, so his mortality is actually more hypothetical than anything else. He was the Rock upon which I built the asskicking of evil. Equipped with the weakest sword in the game, Franz wiped out scores of the enemies, covering whole fronts all on his own. Don't screw with Franz.

So, after reading about Genealogy a bit, I was thinking - do you think a remake should include a feature that allows units with less MOV to automatically be transported across the battlefield next to your Lord, in order to keep them from being left in the dust? Or does that sound too overpowered?

I think so, simulation is definitely a part of it. The screenshots from the site I linked seems like it's something of a grand strategy game but I've not played Nobunaga's Ambition nor its crossover with Pokemon so I'm not sure what the gameplay is like exactly but seems to be more Risk-like than FE.

You mean like a Rescue command?

I have Nobunagas Ambition. Wish Pokemon would make another tactis style game.

I played the Nobunaga-Pokemon crossover. It was fun, though it also could drag in higher difficulties due to random events designed to strengthen your enemies when you're winning. Finding and capturing the correct partners for every Lord and retainer and grinding their affinity was also tiresome, but I doubt that aspect would be a part of this game.

Okay, I have two questions. First, anyone have a guess when we’ll be getting more Fire Emblem news? I know it hasn’t been that long since the last bit of Three Houses DLC dropped, but I’m kind been getting excited at the prospect of a Genealogy remake (or a Binding Blade remake, or whatever it is we get), so I guess I want to know when we can expect something.

Second, does anyone know any good strategies for chapter 2 of Cindered Shadows? Because maybe I’m betraying my own lack of skill, but hitting you “a fresh wave of enemies shows up the second after you defeat the previous one” three times in a row feels a bit cheap, especially when a lot of the units I’ve got here have paper-thin defenses.

Maybe next year. The main series games seem to be in about a 2-year cycle at this point, so they'd need time to actually get whatever might be next to a presentable state.

As for the chapter, try to kite them out along the outer ring. The stairs provide a serious barrier to their cavalry, making their Excalibur Valkyries a lot less threatening. It also makes for easy positioning to have someone bait out the Wyverns without being threatened by other enemies. Plus the corner stairs make for good chokepoints for someone like Edelgard or Dimitri.

If you're getting tripped up by the waves coming as soon as the last enemy dies, you can try delaying to kill them with your first action on the next PP so that your other units can get an advantageous position against the reinforcements.

I imagine the sheer production values of Three Houses is thanks to funding from Heroes.
