Fan service DLC? Hmmm. If it took place prior to the timeskip, it'd feel a bit... uncomfortable... since half the folks are underage...

And if it takes place after the timeskip, that just ruins it because I'd be there for Dimitri, but his Norse hobo look does nothing for me

Okay so I just came up with a plot for a masquerade ball chapter. It's basically a Paralogue available after Chapter 6 and before either Chapter 10 or 12. Basically the monastery holds a huge masquerade ball and everyone shows up in their costume. All of a sudden the door opens and Alois walks in dressed as the Flame Emperor. He brings out a bunch of knights he has roped into his scheme, including Jeralt dressed as the Death Knight, and challenges everyone to a mock battle. In typical mock battle fashion nobody dies if they are defeated. The characters you haven't recruited all show up as green units, and everyone has the typical dlc map conversations. In true Death Knight fashion beating Jeralt awards you with either a Dark Seal or a seal that unlocks some new class exclusive to this dlc. Beating the map also unlocks all the masquerade costumes as alternate outfits for your characters. After the fight Rhea and Seteth probably chew Alois out for interrupting the ball and making fun of a serious situation, but the whole thing ended up pretty popular with the students and it was good for practice so they let him off fairly lightly.

The only part I'm kinda torn on is Jeralt playing the Death Knight. Alois is the only character I can see doing something like this, and Jeralt is the only one I can see him pulling along for it, and their weapon skills fit the Death Knight and Flame Emperor pretty much perfectly, but I'd really like to have a scene where the fake Death Knight pretends to kill Jeralt, just to riff on how similar they are to Greil and the Black Knight from Path of Radiance. As for how to deal with Jeralt's actual death; either the deadline runs out before then, the Death Knight just doesn't appear afterwards or he's played by a generic knight instead.

I don't see that realistically happening. Given the Death Knight's involvement in Flayn's kidnapping he's probably a sore subject for many at the monastery, especially Seteth and Flayn herself. To say nothing of the Flame Emperor's sponsorship of the tragedy at Remire, even if he claims to personally disapprove of Solon's work.

And Jeralt still finds them culpable, since the Flame Emperor has let the Death Knight aid them.

What if he was dressed as Nemesis instead? Do people in Fodlan know what Nemesis looked like?

How about a masquerade DLC where they dress as characters from past Fire Emblem games? Edelgard as Arvis (or more realistically Micaiah), Dimitri as Camus (or Ephraim), and Claude as Takumi (all I've got), anyone?

The thing I liked about Druple's idea was the possibility for worldbuilding within Fodlan's setting. They could dress as figures from their history or folklore, and we can see more of their character in how these figures appeal to them. Maybe even add some background up in the library.

It would kinda be funny if someone dressed as Seiros.

It'd be really funny if it was Edelgard who did it.

I would love to get a beach DLC or something that's just pure fanservice fluff like the beach or hot spring DLC from Awakening. I also hope it's accessed some way separate from the timeline function so I can use my Eagles save for it...

Really, I just want some kind of DLC where the students are allowed to act like teens. Maybe even with the House leaders interacting at all.

Yeah, more house leader interactions are a must. I say this because I've gotten into debates as to whether Edelgard legitimately forgot that Dimitri is her childhood love and stepbrother. They have so few concrete interactions that it can honestly go either way, which is not good for something so important.

To be real, though, my number one hope for DLC is a playable Jeritza. There are just too many questions about his backstory and motivations left unanswered in the base game...

I mean a beach DLC set before the game (Maybe the previous school year?) could work without ruining the tone of the game.

It is true that the cosmetics are a little disappointing... but I guess full custom outfits for all 24 students would really be stretching it.

Yeah, broke his NDA and also there were some more serious accusations (I'm not sure how much further they went).

Also I had 20k renown when I loaded my save... No idea why. That wasn't part of the dlc was it?
