It now needs to mention our new lord and savior, the blindfold.
So she's using an illusion similar to the one Zola said that he used in the Birthright run? I'm pretty sure he was lying, and we haven't seen anybody with similar illusion magic yet, but I guess I'll take it.
I don't like it when games have poorly hidden stuff like that that the characters don't get. It makes me uncertain on whether I'm being paranoid or if the characters are just being dumb.
She's singing a verse none of the rest of the cast have heard, to a different tempo, with a very different register to her voice, and she's covered her face, on top of performing from quite a ways off- Garon's seat seems to be like a full hundred meters away at least.
Not to say it's perfect, more that they tried.

I sure said that! She isn't. It would be believable (the stage is a fair distance from the audience, and she's wearing a veil that covers most of her face), if she didn't leave her distinctive hair as is, and didn't use song-based water magic.
Bewitching EyesThought that it may have needed spoiler tags, but I guess not.
I will give her this, it's a very different style of dance compared to what Azura normally does. Maybe I'm not giving enough credit, since I knew that she was going to be up on that stage from all the prominence the trailers and intro cutscene gave it. Maybe Corrin didn't make the connection simply from being unable to think of a reason Azura would do that.
Off topic thought, do you think Camilla takes her fathers weapon after his death? She's one of the few royal members that survives in all three stories, judging by heirs of Fate legendary weapons pass down to children, and she uses axes.

They usually pass down to the son, though. Besides, I think Camilla has had enough of war in all the timelines to pick up a weapon again.
...maybe if someone dares to harm a hair on her sweet baby brother's head she'll pick up her dad's axe.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeBut we only see sons from the royal boys, so it can't really be determined. Yato gets inherited by a female Kana in heirs of fate, and other royal children (in lineage with weapons, at least) are always male, so it can't really be gauged whether that's how it works.
I dunno. Maybe it's just that I find the idea of early game powerhouse Camilla wielding an endgame boss weapon hilarious.
I always thought that Bolverk was a weapon associated with Anankos like the Ganglari, given that both are weapons bearing a name of Odin the Allfather from Norse Mythology and wielded by Anankos's servants.
Still, would be kind of cool to see Camilla swinging the Bolverk around.
"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."This post
actually gives a really good defense why Azura's disguise is better than it seems.
While I'm fine with them not recognizing her right away, I do think that maybe they should have made the connection earlier.
Unless I'm misremembering how things went.
Oh God! Natural light!

It is. There's conversation text for every possible parent-child combination for the Hoshidan Scramble, some of which likely needed to be censored (e.g. the Niles and Kana convo, which has Kana saying really dirty things without realizing it) or given other changes.
