Yeah. Conquest and Revelations get you a character from upgrading the Magic Orb.
In all games you also get a secret character from upgrading the bathhouse.
Bewitching EyesOr it could be because it was neither Fire Emblem, nor Megaten.... So attaching that name was seen as an insult by both fan bases.
I mean, a Crossover might get away with being In Name Only for one of its component franchises. But both of them? No way fans will let that slide.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. In the dev's defenses, it would be very difficult to make a crossover of universes for both games, I think what they did was better than anything I could have thought of.
Speaking as a longtime fan of Shin Megami Tensei and a recent but big fan fan of Fire Emblem.
Omega Radiance isn't here to say it so I will: Majin Tensei basically is SMT x FE.
Agian, Shin Megami Tensei IV was close enough setting wise to work way better.
Neither of them are about idols though, so what we got wasn't even an in name only for one, but for both francises.

I stand by it having had the posibility to work by either droping SMT's demons into Fire Emblem, since the demons are kind of what makes SMT any way.
Ooor, just using Shin Megami Tensei IV.... agian. >.<

Its creative yes, but it is neither SMT nor Fire Emblem.
Thats the problem, not the game itself, but it being neither of those things while using there name.
Which is why I think its doing better in Amercia, because from what I know, the name is being downplayed there.
"Tokyo Mirage Sessions FE"
Unless you knew its history, you might think its a completly seprate game, which it should have been.
I am a fan of both, I know what makes them tick. >.<

Same here. Sure, it wasn't what I expected, but I liked what they created, even if I would hesitate to call it a crossover (it's more like a blend, really).

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."To be fair, the demons from the SMT series are probably above what most Fire Emblem characters could even deal with; like, in a fight between say Grima and/or Anakaos against either Lucifer or YHVH, I'm gonna be betting on the latter two any day of the year.
Let's see if you can get past my Beelzemon. Mephiles, WARP SHINKA!TMS is probably more Fusion Fic than straight crossover.
