I'm currently playing as a high-skill Butler, not a bad idea.
The heightened crit rate is nice, but Butler's don't learn any activatable skills to make them shine. But you could always make the butler in question get some through reclassing/buying skills from castles.

I'd expect a Tharja expy to be a dark mage. The problem is, I didn't check her class until AFTER I'd saved. I don't think it's crucially crippling, but still annoying.
And I know why I managed to get blindside by a magically appearing 5%, it's because I checked the initial crit chance with a hand axe, but then swapped to Beruka's Axe to kill the guy in front of him, which was just enough to push my low luck stat to the stage I could be crit at.
The fact that he got that 5% crit is just standard FE shenanigans, and I found it mildly funny that it was Rhajat who was supporting Corrin at the time.
I only have two more children's paralogues to go: Mitama and Nina. Already have Azama's and Effie's skills ready, so Mitama is up first.

There's a very good analysis
on the changes from Severa to Selena. I suppose as a warning, the user has never liked Severa.
Although there's also a good argument
on why the original Severa is also liked by a number of people (including me).
Essentially, an appeal of Severa is how much of a bitch she is in comparison to the other Awakening characters and I think you can thank the localization for this because I do like bitch Severa more than typical tsundere JP Severa.
Kotaro dodged everything Xander, Kaze, Effie, and Charlotte threw at him, but take one guess as to who went up against him and struck him down with a Critical Hit?
Adventurers are nice, but, having used both them and Bow Knights, I prefer Bow Knights. I think I even prefer them more than Hero, which was one of my favoured classes in Awakening. The reason? Shurikenbreaker. The most intense parts of Lunatic Conquest feature Master Ninja with Silver Shuriken and Inevitable End. That skill makes the combat much more reliable and bearable. Now, if only there was a Staffbreaker... (because screw Staff Savant stacked with Inevitable End).
FE: New Mystery Only Feet 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Umamusume Haru Arima 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiSo, randomly, I made a custom avatar sprite for a friend since she's the first avatar aside from my own to mark my progress on my Troper Castle Team project. (Yes, I edited the one in my current avatar myself as well)
It's kind of rough and a bit messy in some parts, but it looks alright, I think. Please note, my only resource is Paint. (I have GIMP, but am yet to learn how to use it.)
So, I recruited the last two children (very dickish move to give Nina's defeat the "ally killed" music, had me panicking that I was supposed to use Capture to get her) and then blazed through the rest of the game. Red weapons without weapon inversion suffer quite a bit in those last few chapters. So many shruikens and lances.
And now I've moved onto Heirs of Fate... I get the feeling that this is Fire Emblem taken to the logical extreme. No experience earned, no weapon level ups, just pure strategy and knowledge on how the game works. Which would be fine if they weren't so ridiculous.
And now it turns out that you can get special dialogue if you match up the characters. Wonderful. Another way to stress out.
Edit: All the other parts needed several resets in order for me to figure out how to beat them, but I got through the finale for Heirs of Fate on my first try. I might not have been able to get all the dialogue, but not a single unit died. And now Takumi is absolutely broken because he's a sniper with Point Blank.

I now have a second S-rank couple. Congratulations, Kaze and Rinkah! I also got a new second generation unit. Midori is absolutely adorable! She inherited Shove from her mother, which I wasn't too excited about, but she also has Poison Touch from her father, which is just so in-character for her. She also came with an Offspring Seal. Sweet! Once her Paralogue began, I immediately promoted her to Merchant. The Paralogue itself was rather easy. I just had my avatar burn through the woods and cut Candace off.
Birthright Chapter 20; Fort Dragonfall
For a place as creepy as Fort Dragonfall turned out to be, the mission itself wasn't too hard. Like Ryoma said in the opening cutscene, the tight spaces worked to our advantage, and the enemies were all Faceless, and therefore not much trouble.
I also got my shops upgraded to Lv. 3. Now I have the Master Seals to promote everyone. Now Azama is a Great Master, Sakura is a Priestess, Saizo is a Master Ninja, and Orochi is an Onmyoji. Now, the only member of my army still awaiting promotion is Subaki. He's at Lv. 17 now. Buying the Master Seals and new weapons did take a big chunk out of my funds, though. I hope I don't end up regretting that.

If you end up needing funds for special weapons or stuff, just pawn off the steel or silver weapons you have.

Before this mission, I got Subaki to Lv. 20, then promoted him to Kinshi Knight. Now every member of my army is a promoted unit!
Well, this was an odd mission. Apparently this map is Nohr's equivalent to Lake Erie. Anyway, The Dragon Veins here either create paths forward or fill areas with lava. For the first one, I ended up flooding the starting area. A first I thought I'd have to go through a long and tedious process of ferrying my non-flying units across with my flying ones, but thankfully, the Dragon Vein to move forward reappeared after a few turns, and I now knew which ones created the bridges. From there, it was simply working my way through the enemies.
If you've been paying attention to the other threads from Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE and the Pokemon general thread, one of the biggest What Could Have Been was just recently revealed.
I'll put it this way: if Pokemon can cross with Tekken and still reach 1 million units, what would that game have sold?
Considering that the Fire Emblem and Pokémon crossover was being considered before Fire Emblem became mainstream (read: 6ish years ago) and that Pokémon spinoffs aren't a license to print money like the main games, I doubt it would have done well. It would probably do better now, but I'm not sure as to how well.
Also, Pokkén Tournament isn't a crossover with Tekken, so it's not a completely apt comparison.

It take inspiration from Tekken and is made by Namco.
And I think there is a serious underestimation of the power of Pokemon. It became cool to like Pokemon again at about...2008 or so. Basically, Generation IV.
I think 2010 was around the time that "genwunner" became a dirty term.

Nintendo really didn't advertise TMS as well as they could have. I think I once saw a video describing that they essentially sent it out to die.
Also, I just realized the acronym for Tokyo Mirage Sessions is the Shin Megami Tensei acronym backwards. O_o

The question is, should the chosen Defender of Nohr become a superb Spear Master or a badass Basara?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
