You should either have the majestic, powerful intelligent dragons, or the "really powerful animals" ones. Not the former turning into the latter unless they use a magic stone to take humanoid form.
Eh, maybe they could break from series conventions, but I'd never say it was an "either/or" sort of thing. That always struck me as rather limiting.

Oh God! Natural light! So apparently a new Tellius art book was released, and it contained, among other things, a list of all the characters' ages
. Laguz ages are converted to relative Beorc years by the way. Among others things, it reveals that Deghinsea is only middle-aged in Dragon years, and Nasir not even that! Think about that for a second!

Like, with how the Fire Emblem-verse dragons work, they should all be extinct due to that massive issue.
Ranulf is older than Mordecai. By quite a bit, apparently.
That can't possibly be true. He could maybe pass for Mordecai's son if he wanted to.
Maybe it's a Tiger thing.
Also Bastian is a lot younger than I was expecting.

Bewitching EyesI'm not really surprised because I figured Titania was in the late 20-early to mid 30s range anyway. In fact she's slightly younger than I was expecting.

Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite. To be fair, it seems they're averse to their warriors being older than 25, period. Grizzled, veteran fighter? More like over-the-hill old fogey whose bones will crumble at a moment's notice (oh, hi there, Gunter)!
Unrelated: surprisingly enough, looks like I've got another set of links today. I'm... really not sure how Friday's run crawled through the first half of the game, but it did, so there's that.
This run is notable for both Robin and Morgan having some horrifyingly bad Def and Res for a good chunk of the game. As a result, some of the safer chapters were actually dangerous. We almost RI Ped on the C9 reinforcements and almost lost out on the C11 bullion. Despite all that, it somehow P Bed over my last run by about 22 mins. Oh, and not only was this the first time I had two successful sessions in a row, but this was also me getting two successful runs in a row.

Bewitching EyesNow if we want an example of a Badass Grandpa, how come no one has brought up Walhart?
Iirc, he was mentioned (Can't remember if it was Word of God, a support, or a in-game conversation) to be in his late fifties at the earliest.

That's kinda the thing about Gunter, though. He doesn't look all that old to me. I mean, he's clearly starting to show his age, but he still looks fairly fit. The game gives him stats like he's 90 years old and about ready to fall apart (and if he gets into combat with those initial stats at all, especially in Lunatic Revelation, he pretty much will...). Granted, I suppose it's both playing it straight and subverting it, since when he returns in Conquest, he's way more formidable and about the strength I'd expect for both a grizzled veteran whose age has merely caught up to him, instead of crippling him, and someone empowered by the Rainbow Sage.

When I reclassed him with the Offspring seal he only had Noble(Hoshido).

So about dragons going insane and the discussion on the previous page. Well, it's not accurate to say they go insane. They degenerate and go bestial. They devolve you could say. And this detail is absolutely crucial to the entire lore of FE 1 through 5 and Awakening but in the case of the latter, it's only because it's set on the same universe.
In fact, in Archanea (or Ylisse), the Wyverns that Wyvern Riders/Wyvern Lords/Dracoknights ride are just another species of dragon. The Wyvern tribe were also once intelligent dragons like Naga, Tiki, etc but the majority of their tribe refused to take human form and become manaketes due to pride. Hence, most of them degenerated. Eventually, humans in the Macedon (Plegia) region tamed the degenerated Wyvern tribe to ride as mounts.
So yeah, remember how Cherche constantly talks about Minerva? Well, Minerva's ancestors were just as intelligent as Naga, Tiki, Nowi, etc and Minerva herself would have been a Manakete in Awakening had her ancestors sealed their powers in dragon stones and taken human form.
How's that for Fridge Horror?

Verifying that too. In my Conquest file, I specifically checked Dwyer because I was curious if it did pass down. The option was open to him.
