I don't care if it's just a game. I LOVED this franchise. Loved all the games from 3 to 11. My entire life has been nothing but playing Fire Emblem.
Then the world just collectively decided to make me regret everything by releasing 13 and 14, turning a series that's had really enjoyable stories into a friggin harem anime. And people went on proclaiming THAT to be "The best Fire Emblem EVER!". It broke my heart into a million pieces.
To paraphrase one of my favorite entertainers: "The worst feeling in the world is when something you love changes into something you hate."

...In your opinion. I love Awakening and Fates as well as the previous games.
This song needs more love.I liked the stories myself. I think they're enjoyable, and the character's are better than ever. I like the core gameplay along with the new mechanics they added to enhance it.
But, we have different opinions. You don't have to love awakening and Fates. But I have a right to like them myself. You can't just insult me for liking them.
I have my opinions. You have yours. But you're trying to impose them on everyone.

I've played every game from Rekka no Ken to Fates, plus Genealogy.

This song needs more love.
x6 It didn't though?
Like, okay, yeah, elements of that creeped in, I'll give you that, but starting in 4 and really picking up by 6, the emphasis in this series was moved to the relationships of the cast- There's a reason the western fanbase had a riot when 11 dropped supports. You're still mobilizing an army in blue to kill guys in red, that has been the core and hasn't changed ever.

And you're doing the same thing, in reverse.
I've played it Mystery of the Emblem. It's pretty solid but definitely shows it age. The plot has some clever bits in it but is overall on the stock side.

I sure said that!I love Fire Emblem: Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates as well. While the storytelling isn't groundbreaking, the stories themselves were enjoyable and interesting to me. I had a lot of fun with both games since I loved seeing the characters interact with each other. Fates also has, in my personal opinion, the best villain in the entire franchise: Anankos. I liked a lot of the villains in this franchise, but Anankos stands above them all for me.

"I squirm, I struggle, ergo I am. Faced with death, I am finally, truly alive."

Uh... Yeah.
It's my #1 favorite game.
Also, that come off as incredibly condescending.
