I didn't check enemy listed crit, or rather, i couldn't. It was the first time i had gotten that far in the chapter (this is actually chapter 25, the one with the guy from chapter 5) and had no idea that the boss's area would cross in like that, so i had to retreat and couldn't really test enemy attack.
Birthright Chapter 7: A Vow Upheld
So, in this mission, I have to defend a Fort full of injured Hoshidans. I liked this mission. I got some nice loot out of the chests in the fort. I also got some new party members; Hana and Subaki at the start of the mission, and Silas, Saizo, and Orochi after the mission. I also got my Avatar to Lv. 10, and promoted him to Hoshido Noble.
I've also gotten some more facilities for my castle. I now have a Mess Hall and a Lottery Shop. I visited another Castle that had an Accessories shop. I saw a pair of Round Glasses that would make my avatar's resemblance myself complete, but I didn't have the materials to trade for it.
I was watching a video of someone playing through Chapter 24 of Revelation and someone made a comment about how they loved that chapter because it reveals that Valla is your birthright, but it must be won through conquest.

Yeah, in general you should never promote a unit unless they are 20 to max stat gains, especially with Fates' exp scaling. If you want your levels 10-20 to feel a bit more meaningful, re classing may be good to grab some extra skills before re classing back to Nohr Noble...though you may not be willing to spend the heart seals.
I'm curious for some input. I recently started a Phoenix Casual playthrough that I mess around with while moving through my main Birthright playthrough. The character I made is STR+ Mag- and Talent is Merc, and I'm just curious what you all think are some interesting skills that are fun to mess around with? Not just for my eventual Hero but the rest of the cast. There are quite alot that look like they would be fun!
I actually got Swordfaire and Lifetaker messing around with other people's castles.
Blog - TumblrStill got crit'd by that guy, still on Silas, second time around, but he survived this time and we went on to smack down the boss, who was surprisingly un-doughty (although a lucky activation of Kaze's lethality avenged me of my poor luck previously).
Chapter 26, however, was a rip-roaring good time despite having some of the stuff i usually hate (like over-aggressive enemies in a wide open space and lots of reinforcement). It's too bad Gunter has an Armor attribute. Camilla and her Hammer made short work of him, and his death was what brought Camilla up to promoted-20, my first character in any of the three runthroughs to do so.
Gunter is just laughable in general. As in, laughable on the level of having less stats than the Great Knights mooks, despite being the boss. It's one of those moments where it's like, "Uh... IS, what were you thinking?"

I always thought that the lower stats meant that at least some part of him really didn't want to fight the Avatar, hence why he wasn't fighting as hard as he could have. Kind of like how Xander's stats when you fight him are lower due to that nasty bit of business with Elise.
Still, he has Anankos's super powers at that point. I suppose that says more about Anankos's limitations than Gunter's, though. I mean, Gunter himself does make it pretty clear that without help he is very much waning. I'd still expect Anankos to make him a lot more powerful, regardless of if he's personally trying to hold back.

"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeDoesn't Tellah still at least gain something, though? Like, more Int at the cost of losing Spd and Con? I could probably get behind a Sage Jagen who has a near-guaranteed Mag and Skl growth, but negative Spd and Def growth (with maybe 0%s in everything else).
FE: New Mystery Only Feet 7PM PT Sun, Mon, Fri; Umamusume Haru Arima 7PM PT Wed, Thurs: http://www.twitch.tv/kuroitsubasatenshiif your using the possessing Gunter as a sign he must be super powerful don't as Gunter is an old man with zero dragon blood. Hell Grima and Loptyr have bred vessels worthy of them for this reason. Chosen vessels have to be naturally strong cause they aren't miracle workers.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Not getting any responses on our Fates trope discussion page, so I might as well ask here.
Is it really a spoiler that Odin, Selena, and Laslow are actually Owain, Severa, and Inigo from Awakening? The game's not subtle about it, you're probably going to figure it out if you've played Awakening since they pretty much look the same, and revealing that info on the trope page doesn't give anything away about the story.

It's definitely not a spoiler, considering the fact that Inigo, Owain, and Severa coming back was almost a selling point in Japan, plus the fact that they were included in Fates due to a popularity poll.
It has no impact on the story
Finding out who they are isn't treated as a twist
It was supposed to be obvious
Ergo, it's not a spoiler who they are.

Bronze/Brass and Guard Stance are your friends. All it takes is that plus 22 Luck to completely negate even the Gamble Berserkers' 26 Crit (and this isn't even taking into account things like Tonics, Mess Hall, Rallies, pair partners providing Luck, or classes like Spear Master and Master Ninja having innate +Dodge).
Don't want to risk losing a 90-min run? Then don't gamble on enemy listed Crit.
