^ If I tell you there's actually three of these threads, will it break your brain?
My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.^ Yes.
At this point, I think it's better to all of humanity that anyone who even mentions the game should get shot, cut into pieces, fed to dogs and then burn their droppings. I mean seriously, THREE topics on the same game about the same subject over and over again? Oh god.

That's all you could come up with? You should of gone all the way and posted a shock site then.
Because the logic is incredibly stupid. Just because you've never seen it before or don't like, that means it's okay to calling "it sucks"?
That my friend, is the stupidest thing I've heard yet.
Never experiencing the product in question personally completely destroys the whole point of personal opinion and just categorize you as a mindless sheep, making you only look more idiotic than before.
And this doesn't even make sense in context. Metroid: Other M is, no matter how much you argue about it, not an objectively bad game and IS very polarizing. It would be like calling salami sandwiches bad, because your friend doesn't like it.

Griffin's phrasing is a bit harsh, but he does have a point. Now, I've said time and again that I don't think Other M is a good game, but I've actually played through the entire thing and can speak from personal experience. There are a lot of people with very passionate opinions on this game, who have never so much as touched it.
There is only so much you can wean from You Tube clips taken out of context and the opinions of others; it's the difference between complaining about a movie you've seen, and complaining about a movie that a friend told you he didn't like.

My Tumblr. Currently side-by-side liveblogging Digimon Adventure, sub vs dub.Did you even look at the post number I wrote? Look who's complaining about things you haven't read.
And that also applies to you not even reading the OP, for if you did, you would know it's on things you don't have to play the game to get. Do not tell me that I have to play it to judge the story, because there is a mode in the game to watch the story without playing the game.
That logically invites judgment of at least those elements, which is what most of my comments, both in the OP and later posts, were about.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. The only thing I said that writing an essay based on something you haven't played is ridiculous and takes all credibility. I never commented on the essay's actual quality, which in turn is a completely different thing.
And I'm not gonna start on that you're critizing a story of a flippin' Nintendo game...

Ridiculous is still a judgment call. Credibility is still suspect, as your seem to not like the furor this game has caused, regardless of whether it is credible.
And you still haven't copped to posting a flaming comment.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. You post a comment calling for violence, and acting like we are supposed to shrug it off?
And don't tell us you weren't being serious. Joking flame bait is still flame bait.
And you calling something uncredible does not make it so, especially when it's clear you don't want to accept it anyway. That's not credibility, that's prejudice.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid."I think it's better to all of humanity that anyone who even mentions the game should get shot, cut into pieces, fed to dogs and then burn their droppings."
Do not tell me that isn't flame bait. Just because you agree with the sentiment does not make the content of that line acceptable.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.... I'm seriously starting to doubt you're trying to discredit me everyway possible. Only the most desperate would start to constantly belittle of something clearly tongue-in-cheek.
So no matter what, it's still completely justified for you to write something you never had personal experience on and constatly complaining about the same scene we have heard criticism about hundred times before?

Besides people can watch lets plays to get the feel of the game without playing it.
@Griffin: He got Ruined Forever reaction for Sakamoto in this game. Despite supposedly knowing the trope actually means. Of course hes gonna use every possible thing as proof it sucks.
Aka, unless someone starts talking about something talk-able, I suggest you to leave this thread and do something fun :3 Thats what I'm planning to do xD

That's not my reaction, as I did not claim this ruined the series. Plus if you actually read my comments, you would know it's the execution I called on, not Sakamoto.
You don't have to agree with me, but disagree with the points I actually made, not what you ignorantly decided I made.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

... I stopped even remotely taking any of this seriously, when there's a wall of text essay about a freakin' Nintendo game that the writer hasn't even played. I'm sorry, but this is just too ridiculous for me to handle. Expecting this to develop into an intelligent discussion is like expecting a monk accepting pork chops as a vegetable.
... and yet, this still developed into a fourteen-paged(now fifteen thanks to me) discussion. Sometimes I seriously don't understand you people.
