The only non lethal weaponry I've trained on are batons, tazers, OC spray, tear gas, and simunitions. Simunitions are really hard chalk rounds used in training that hurt like a motherfucker. I'm a certified trainer for baton and tazer.
Edit: And that flat trajectory is what I really like about 9mm, I tend to shoot long distance with handguns, so my beretta 92fs is a good choice for that kind of action. I don't really like larger calibers.

I don't like the slow truck that is the .45 even though it hits like a brick shit house. The .40 is pretty light and has some good punch to it.
that and i hate the Beretta 92f/s and Nato Standard 9mm. The nato stuff is too underpowered. When your bullets bounce off of glass you have a problem.
Who watches the watchmen?Really depends where you hit them, and 5.56 is a wounding round after all. Getting hit in the guts by a round of 5.56 that tumbles means you're pretty much a walking dead man.
Opening up the chest cavity via the sternum is instant win. You also need to remember sometimes those terrorists are doped up to the point of not feeling pain as much.

A wounding round is a bullshit idea. The thought that a wounding round was good was disproven almost immediately.
In the 40+ years its been since the 5.56 and the M16 were developed, the United States military has yet to come across an enemy who actually gives much of a damn about the wounded on the battlefield.
In Iraq both times, if they didn't surrender they fought and they weren't calling medivac choppers to get their wounded guys out. Same with the Taliban, Al Qaeda, Viet Cong, NVA, Grenadan communists and more.
The only military forces that actually care about battlefield wounded that much to where a wounding takes upwards of 3 people out of the fight at hand is NATO. Since NATO doesn't fight each other, the concept is an utter waste.
Seriously, a wounding round is a liability against enemies running on We Have Reserves. Does that mean the 7.62 NATO round deserves another chance? Possibly, but only if you can develop a rifle that handles recoil much better than the stock M14s, FALs and G3s.
Also, I'm pretty damn sure soldiers are trained to shoot to kill, not shoot to wound.

It is true that the 5.56 lacks the knock down punch. It doesn't always tumble like it should. has a nasty habit of being through and through even when striking anything but the thicker bones.
Special Ops groups started telling people to aim for the low abdomen pelvic area. As hits to this area cause very intense pain and instantly limit mobility on a major scale. Pelvic hits are worse as the 5.56 usually shatters a portion of the pelvic area and has a high chance of severing a major blood vessel or artery.
Ideally the 5.56mm round fragments inside the target in addition to the tumbling but usually only does so when striking thick bone. The 7.62mm leaves a very large hydrostatic shock trail and tends to pretty much plow over everything it hits.
The problem of waiting for a target to bleed out is that they can possibly still fight back. Id rather shoot them once or twice then not have to worry about them. WWI, WWII, and Korea were all excellent examples of the lethal round design.
It is pointless to use the wounding doctrine. None of our enemies are really on the geneva convention which is kind of a ludicrous attempt to regulate war. Parts of it are good the rest is crap. Typical of all major political documents.
Who watches the watchmen?Modded M-249
◊ Check this thing out. Shortened Stock/barrel, tactical grip, acog battle sight, and what is either a combat light or a laser pointer device.
Yep, it is, just fitted with some aftermarket stock. Also, that Afghan guy has the worst clone of AK 47 ever designed.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisThe para has a double tube stock no mil spec rails but does have that shorter barrel.
Found it MK 48 Mod 0 Saw Variant. Only this one still has the integral bipod still attached.

Who watches the watchmen? That's not an AKM, that's a Hungarian AMD-65, a copy that somehow happens to fail more often. Also, those flower decals on it are truly fucking hilarious.

Also bought a really nice bipod.
A lot of technique is still similar, though, right?
