Again, it sure is amazing that the no-rules underground follows the same combat rules as Gensokyo. Sell-outs.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersOf course it's accurate. She literally incites a lot of the events. She doesn't cover news, she makes it. She's a cheater.
I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not.If he mostly published stuff about spider man/superman, then yes. I dunno if that's true or not.
If you don't like the "mystically enforced" idea, it's possible they were merely intrigued and agreed to spellcard duel in order to have an interesting new way to fight. They may or may not keep doing it, but for the first time ever? They're willing to try something new.

Yes, actually. In fact, there was a story line that got retconned by the devil where Peter Parker got sued for fraud for taking pictures of himself all those years.
Aya is a dirty rotten cheater and also she's lazy except bizarrely when it comes to sifting through an entire graveyard's worth of records.

Forever liveblogging the AvengersHey, so, what's the difference between "Yama" and "Enma" with regards to, say, Shikieiki?
Are they interchangeable?
edit: few things are as silly as getting ninjaed after an hour's lull.

I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not.I read that as "'Go beyond the impossible, and kick reason to the curb!"
Well, Touhou is popular, so...

Wow, there's about half a dozen pages of discussing the woobiness of certain characters.
I personally find myself not being drawn to woobie appeal that much. Probably because I have a very weak sense of sympathy.
I make video games! Or plan to, anyway. It's not what you intended, probably, but this gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. See, one of my larger fears is that I sympathize poorly/ have trouble connecting with people.
Now if only I could give a care about real people...
Ah, and thanks, Onyhow.

I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not.Oh yeah, Hina!
The most interesting part to me is that she's fueled by curses. She may have a bit of power incontinence (And the taboos appear to be to help prevent the leakage from happening), but it paints her as a truly good character. She eats your bad luck.
Also, unlike actual gods, she doesn't need your faith, she just needs you to about to stub your toe on a rock every so often. Or gamble. I imagine her sitting around a poker table, and suddenly everyone's hands are royal flushes, five of a kinds, whatever. And they each with just enough matches just so, and they all walk away with just as much money they came in with, losing nothing, but gaining a story of the best game of poker ever.
There's also the idea that there are other plague gods. I wonder what they feed off of... maybe disease or hunger...
I write some fanfiction. Satori's Tale is done... but I'm not.Well, I can watch top-of-the line Joss Whedon shows like Firefly and Dollhouse and be completely bored with them while my family is on the edge of their seats, all because I simply can't find myself sympathizing with any of the characters, and without sympathy, drama of pretty much any kind just falls apart.
Sometimes I doubt I'm even human. Maybe Gensokyo is real, and I'm actually a youkai. It would definitely explain a few things.
I make video games! Or plan to, anyway.I actually see Hina as a Badass, when compared to many other characters. Absorbing curses? How does one live through that and keep their sanity?

I don't know that it's a bad situation, really. She's not any less driven by her nature than other youkai, it's just that her nature of devouring curses makes her benevolent. And notably, she doesn't just draw them, she also eats them. Delicious toe-stubbings.
She is definitively happy... SOPM even mentions it specifically... and it's people who were just cursed by her who say she's cheerful. If they can avoid projecting negativity onto her, then she is likely truly content indeed.

I suspect there are at least a few people who can beat her "float outside of reality" hax. Remilia can fate her to lose anyway, and some contrived coincidence will give Remilia the win. Yukari can probably just go to the plane that Reimu shifts to with no hassle at all. Flandre might only need to see Reimu to "kyu" her eye, Yuyuko might just be able to give her the invitation she can't refuse (to the netherworld), Koishi could just had Reimu think she's won, and tag her when she comes out.
To quote Aya (from SABND CH 20):
"When nothing is happening, you make something happen! That is how a journalist works!"
No, Aya, no it is not. This is why people don't like her. (And I suppose I like Reimu more because she's more woobie, but even then, I get more amusement out of watching her suffer than out of watching her succeed. She's lazy, and I don't like that.)
