Respect the Red Right Hand

Kotaku article. Nothing too new, but still interesting nonetheless.
Excuse me for a few seconds...I just really need to get this off my chest:
ARAGHS;LKGAD;SH#@DSBJL$D#@V!@T^
...You may think this is because I hate the very existence of this game. This is untrue. I very much love the existence of this game, am thrilled at the possibility of a great Wii game, let alone something that stars Darker and Edgier Mickey seemingly done right.
What throws me into caps-lock symbol-inducing rage is all the whiny little bitches complaining about how the game is destined to fail because it's not on a superpowerful HD system and how the Wii is only for stupid soccer moms and little kids and no one should ever develop a game for it ever again and GRARGH.
This total frickin' catch-22 the Wii has been in has really been infuriating me. Everyone bemoans the lack of good interesting original games, and when one does come along these same people go "WUP, too little too late!"
...Anyway, really sorry about that. This post brought to you by this post on Kotaku
talking about how the game used to be in consideration for PC, PS 3, and 360 and a Wii downport, until Warren Spector said he didn't want to do a crappy Wii downport like every other publisher in existence.
There is something tremendously ironic about people who can accept Mickey Mouse as an anti-heroic badass who uses a paintbrush as a weapon in a cartoon world where baby rabbits eat monsters, but can't wrap their minds around the idea that the Wii might be an appropriate platform for such a game.

I kinda think reading comments sections on most gaming blogs is pretty much asking for it, though.
"Proto-Indo-European makes the damnedest words related. It's great. It's the Kevin Bacon of etymology." ~Madrugada"...Anyway, really sorry about that. This post brought to you by this post on Kotaku talking about how the game used to be in consideration for PC, PS 3, and 360 and a Wii downport, until Warren Spector said he didn't want to do a crappy Wii downport like every other publisher in existence."
So instead of making a crappy Wii downport, he's going to make a crappy Wii-exclusive game. Yay?
Not to bash the Wii, but I just don't see the logic in that. How will nixing the PS 3 and 360 ports make the Wii version any better?

YKTTW Salvage List@Inkblot: Now that Epic Mickey is exclusively a Wii game, Spector and his team can concentrate entirely on what the Wii can do, rather than what the Wii can't do. They can avoid the downgrading process that occurs in every PS 360 to Wii port.

It's a sensible position considering how the gameplay's been described. This is kind of sounding like the mechanics of Okami if they had been developed ground up for the Wii mote instead of Dual Shock.
Not to mention it stands to reason their target audience is mostly on the Wii already anyway. It's not the same thing as, say, Rock Band or Guitar Hero, where the manual input is set in stone.
See you in the discussion pages. This game is making seriously reconsider my choice in console.
Translation: I want to play this game so fucking bad It's not fair it's not fair it's not fair it's not fair it's not faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaair

You can't even write racist abuse in excrement on somebody's car without the politically correct brigade jumping down your throat! That's your fault for not choosing God's Miyamoto Shigeru-sama-no Nintendo's console.
Can't wait for it. As a Wii owner and a PS 3 Owner too, I'm happy whoever gets it.
Also, the Wii's great. Deadly Creatures was phenomenal.
Have we mentioned the haunted mansion level yet?
If not I'd like to say this:
THE HAUNTED FREAKING MANSION?!
Christ, that ride's scary enough on it's own! God only knows what sort of hellish mindfuckery Warren Spector will do to it!

Halfway through the level, the game will break and you will sit there for 45 minutes waiting for the game to start again until a person comes through and releases you from your seat and you have to walk the rest of the way out.
Oh wait, that is the real life haunted mansion... I have never gone through that ride without it breaking on me.

My Dream Journal. Updated daily!Ah! I see that many here love this game....
Good. I myself am hyped. Here's to a wish for gameplay videos soon. I do believe we should've gotten one when GI had done their month of updates over it.
Still... Can't wait to see the later levels of the game looking more and more like the concept art. It is.... quite simply.... Delicious.
http://www.longcriercat.deviantart.com I'm thirsty. Got any ink? Resident Pen Ward antagonist.

Yeah, that's enough. This gag is too much to bear.
