This is a thread for people who will not be or have not been on the site for a while, whether due to real life or to resist an internet addiction, the latter of which is encouraged within reason. Also, talk about the benefits/whatever of taking a day or a weekend off, or things to do when not online. TV Tropes ruining your life is nothing to be proud of.
Generally, expect the following from this thread:
- People announcing their departure or return.
- Moderators announcing a significant forum ban — not trolls or vandals, but someone people will notice and miss.
- Inquiries about an absent troper.
- Responses to inquiries about an absent troper.

Heapers’ HangoutOh man, I'm spectacularly going to be less active for like one day.
Because I need to prepare for the liveblog with Tangent on Saturday and I also don't want to have Forum Gingerbread turned off the whole time because people keep using new Pokemon as avatars and stuff.
Also the longer I'm online, the more I'm reminded of NEW POKEMON ARRRRRRRGH WANNA SEE
So yeah, today:
- Recover from fever
- Prepare for liveblog
- Play Super Mario Galaxy a lot
One month is a good length of time.
Didn't realize how many duties I was shirking, so I guess I'll still be busy. Probably will be editing much more than forum-going. (Although I guess you know how this goes.)
You're looking for this person. Thanks, Lucky and Jackal. It Just Awes Me is new, any really big things I should know before I go do something noobish?
You're looking for this person. Not by the look of it, because it's been barely there for a full week.
Welcome back, BLAMmy!

Welcome back, Blammy!
I'd steer clear for now; too much unannounced Ret-Gone in that forum for my taste.
Productivity is for people without internet connections. -Count DorkuI'll be more interested in IJAM once it evolves a purpose beyond "Hey! Let's make threads about anything and everything we kinda enjoy!"
Heapers’ Hangout

Do you really want to ask that?
no one will notice that I changed this
