This is a thread for people who will not be or have not been on the site for a while, whether due to real life or to resist an internet addiction, the latter of which is encouraged within reason. Also, talk about the benefits/whatever of taking a day or a weekend off, or things to do when not online. TV Tropes ruining your life is nothing to be proud of.
Generally, expect the following from this thread:
- People announcing their departure or return.
- Moderators announcing a significant forum ban — not trolls or vandals, but someone people will notice and miss.
- Inquiries about an absent troper.
- Responses to inquiries about an absent troper.

You're leaving Vent, too?
I am back from Orientation. It was pretty cool. I mean, the first day sucked hard, mostly because not only did I not know anyone (except for my roommate, of course), but I also hadn't slept the night before. The second day kinda dragged, but it wasn't too bad. Yesterday kicked ass. Today was also pretty cool. You're gonna have to ask for specifics if you want 'em, and I'm guessin' you don't.
So, uh, yeah. I'm back. I'll see what I missed now.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."Welcome back, Lucky.
Bye, Suke.
Welcome To TV Tropes | How To Write An Example | Text Formatting Rules | List Of Shows That Need Summary | TV Tropes Forum | Know The StaffUm, well, the showers were freezing cold.
Oh, more importantly, I am taking four classes, for sure: Mind and Reason, which sounds like a sort of cognitive science class from what I remember, Physical Anthropology, Intro to Religious Studies, and Intro to China. I'm also on the waiting list for another class, but I can't ever remember its name. Just its course number: BIO 301M.
Austin remains a cool place.
I pretty much only had conversations with pretty girls while I was there. Didn't like....any of the guys I met, but the girls were cool.
Thanks for lettin' me know, Imi. I'll be getting right on that.

"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."Well, the "3" really just shows how many credit hours it's worth.
Also, I'll probably be living in a different dorm by the time classes start. But, if I do end up in that dorm, then I sure as hell hope the showers are warmer. Jesus christ.
"I can't imagine what Hell will have in store, but I know when I'm there, I won't wander anymore."I'm taking a break (YEAH RIGHT!) which will mean I'll need to work from my old offline computer- so I'll be spending most of the upcoming days there, and rarely access this one. I'll still drop in in time for the TV Tropes 1st Interactive Media Construction Competition topic, and maybe a bit of video game chat.
I'm making this post really just because if I don't make a closure post I simply can't leave. It does help, even if I usually end up coming back within a few hours. If you see me, tell me to get back to work. (Until I announce I've done what I was going to do)
I thought about this for a while and i've reached my decision. I'm gonna go with sis on her trip and i'm taking Darren with me. I need to get away from Montgomery and go see more of this big blue marble we call the Earth. It's been real fun but i don't think i'm gonna miss this place much but i will miss the folks here.
