This is a thread for people who will not be or have not been on the site for a while, whether due to real life or to resist an internet addiction, the latter of which is encouraged within reason. Also, talk about the benefits/whatever of taking a day or a weekend off, or things to do when not online. TV Tropes ruining your life is nothing to be proud of.
Generally, expect the following from this thread:
- People announcing their departure or return.
- Moderators announcing a significant forum ban — not trolls or vandals, but someone people will notice and miss.
- Inquiries about an absent troper.
- Responses to inquiries about an absent troper.

I can't help but notice, though, that this aggressive stance turns off people who aren't targeted by the stance.
Now using Trivialis handle.I'm less worried about whether or not anyone thinks I'll be banned or leave than about whether or not anyone on here even knows who I am or cares whether or not I'd leave.
But, then, I'm an Attention Whore—it's in my nature.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. Two contradictory answers. I am confuzzled.
Why or why not?

Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Instinct, mostly drawn from your earlier concerns about why various people were banned. However, you've been a lot cooler about the whole affair than every other person who leaped in the thread to ask questions, so I'd say the probability is relatively low.
Probably about the same level where I'm at.
Main reason I give myself a low to mid level chance of getting banned is because I keep appearing to interject myself into policy debates. That's always playing with fire, no matter what side you're on-even if it's no side at all.

It is, of course. But I think that you are less likely than I am for the simple reason that you are much less openly critical of administrative decisions than I am.
That said, I do not plan upon leaving anytime soon, so if they really want me ou—
Not gonna finish that.

I'll hide your name inside a word and paint your eyes with false perception.Well... <_< Are you guys concerned or am I reading the atmosphere wrong?
I vowed, and so did you: Beyond this wall- we would make it through. And I'd appreciate being called Tomu, so we're even :P
I'm only openly critical of the administrative decisions if I disagree with them. But I don't really care one way or the other. I mean, I had my demands earlier a couple weeks ago, and they were met so I'm not one to complain very much.

And my fears have been vindicated! ^_^

Tomu, I don't get it.
Why should talking, in itself, get you banned?
Isn't it enough that the talk comes to a resolution?

Now using Trivialis handle.Guys. Come on. Notice me! I am an attention whore who is working the streets really cheaply tonight!!
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.I avoid taking a position.
I like talking about them because it's an intellectual exercise in the usage of authority.
For the record, I disagree with X's ban, not in that I disagree with the events that led up to it, but rather that I disagree with X being banned in the sense that I don't think it makes the forum better.
meh.

I also sent this in a PM to Westerner:
Banned: inane, cutewithoutthe (will probably be revoked), Firebert, Octo, Black Humor, Triple Elation, That Guy With the X, Bellacide/Karseli, setnakhte
Left of their own volition: whaleofyournightmare, Akagikiba for a bit, me for a period of time, juan, Culex, Mr W
Did I miss anyone or add anyone by accident?
One Piece blog Beyond the Lampshade@Ten Tails: We're concerned, but at the same time realised this was coming while the thread was exploding with posts, so we're unsurprised.
Things are what they are, and heads will cool off after everyone's had some sleep, and maybe some bans will be appealed.
Maybe they won't be.
Either way, the fora will still be here, and so will most of us. I'm like Tomu, here; I'm not taking any sides on the debate over the SA crap (largely because I don't really care about the perception of the site, as I enjoy TVT regardless), but I am willing to point out to people when they're stepping on toes and risking a banning or post-thumping rampage.
Also like Tomu, I think That Guy With The X got caught in the middle of that... from what I can recall his posts in the middle of the Troll Post Wall were just him asking what was going on, and pointing out that it was pretty spammy. When Tomu and I came into the thread and said the same, he thanked us for agreeing with him and trying to convince everyone else to calm down. I'm pretty sure he got caught in the middle there.

Triple Elation is a special case; he was the subject of the talk here because he was already banned, rather than being banned during the past 20 pages.
Also, Bobby G is absent right now.
And I thought you left?
Now using Trivialis handle.

OK, Question Time: Does anyone think that I'm about to get banned or walk away?
