"Blondes who are badass instead of dumb". Is this People Sit On Chairs?

Badass But More Specific. I'd say, rather than People Sit On Chairs. Either way, "She's a Badass and she's blonde but she's not a Dumb Blonde except when she is" doesn't really strike me as very tropeable.

Shall I go ahead and put it on the cutlist then?

Badass Aryan might be a trope. Essentially, cold, blond Nazi types who can kill you without blinking. Might already be covered somewheres I guess.

"Nazi types"?

We do have "sexy lady who's very dangerous".

Fitting the White Supremacist/Ubermensch/Nietzsche Wannabe mould that Hollywood Nazis tend to fall into. Or is that not what you were questioning?

Note that I'm suggesting it would have to be called "Badass Aryan" for this to not be horrendously offensive to all blonde people (further note: am myself blonde) :P

EDIT: It might also be offensive to some to associate a good quality (Badass) with Nazis/fascists/racists. Eh.

It might also cause confusion given that the actual Aryans may not have looked anything like the blond blue-eyed stereotype (one early record suggests they had "red hair and rode ferocious jackasses", iirc).

Forget I said anything.

Heh, I was wondering if you meant literal Nazis or supremacists in general.

From your description it sounds like we already have tropes for those, though. It's kinda a given that an Übermensch would be badass :P. "Badass Nietzsche Wannabe" and "Badass Racist" still have The Same But More Specific problem.

Good points. Just trying to think of any aspect of the trope that could be saved. Probably isn't one though.

Seems like People Sit On Chairs to me. I say get rid of it.

Everything happens for a reason. The reason is a chaotic intersection of chance and the laws of physics.

I honestly think that Badass is quickly approaching The Hero in terms of omnipresence. Building a trope around the juxtaposition between a cute little girl being a badass is most definitely a trope. As is being being an old badass. Simply being blonde is not a reason to be split off. I feel the same way about the various nationalities.

Fight smart, not fair.

*checks Badass* What the-? The list tripled since I was last there.

I would argue that Badass Spaniard is valid, they're Inigo Montoya clones. I haven't heard of a non-badass Spaniard. But the Real Life example section for Badass Israeli is the longest one. Does that look like a problem?

Also, why do we have Badass Furry?

Maybe Badass Furry is just about Furries with a focus on...

Actually, no. You can make your own Incredibly Lame jokes there.

EDIT: Badass Furry example list is HUGE, and I think it's viable. About furry's who subvert the expectations of them (Nature lovers, cute sidekicks, etc.), and become kind of awesome.

I may not be a big fan of the Furry Borg effect, where the presence of one Furry Fan on a website sends it inevitably crashing to a doom of Furry-interest-only content (I exaggerate a little), but even I think that this is worth having.

I think we should make a separate thread for badass issues in general... I don't feel up to it atm, maybe later.

I have placed Badass Blonde on the cutlist.

Expect cutlisted articles to be denied if it's not really obvious that it should be cut.

I agree, though, it is People Sit On Chairs, it might as well be Juggling Blonde or Blonde Wearing Red, Badass Blonde is not a character type.

If there is no dissent to this after a couple days (?) maybe cutlist it again and link to this thread.

Supporting a CUT. The trope covers nothing but instances of Action Girls who happen to be blonde. The page description is meaningless filler. To paraphrase- "There are two types of Badass Blondes: those that are mean, tough, or witty and those that are nice, happy, or ditsy. Or those that are a mix or neither of those types."

Supporting a cut. This isn't a trope.

Oh yes and I got all the wicks, at least 50% of which had Action Girl right above them making them feel worthless.
