Ugh. Just dump the damn thing. Anything in Development Hell for this long cannot possibly be good.

It's being finished by a different development team. Whoever was bogging it down is no longer present.

And, you know, there's plenty of examples of things from Development Hell turning out awesome.

The thing holding them down was the fact they kept cramming in everything and had to upgrade, like, how many times now, in order to keep from getting dated.

Do you hate it so much, that you have to post this two fucking times?

If you want to voice your displeasure so much, you could at least say it differently the second time.

Sorry about posting the same thing twice. I've been sick lately and my memory is worse than usual.

I just hope George Broussard is nowhere near managing the new dev team.

Heh, I use to give the guy shit over at The Shack in the early 2000's over DNF (back when the site was The Shugashack).

"GEORGEB 3 DR!! Yeah you! What are you doing posting here? Get back to work on DNF!"

He doesn't. New dev team is more or less working on everything 3D Realms had and shaping it into a neat little package.

Is that supposed to be saying it won't come out anyways, despite the developer being different? All Gearbox has to do is put 3d Realms' work into a nice shiny package and push it out onto store shelves. It'd be pretty hard for them to screw that up. We'll just have to see if 3d Realms actually had a good game on their hands.

Leaked documents suggested that 3DR was around 30% finished. Gearbox has a fair bit of work to do.

The difference is, unlike 3D Realms, Gearbox actually knows how to do things. They haven't been proven over the course of 12 years to be complete shit at getting things done.

@Hylarn: HOLY SHIT! Only 30%, jesus that is just plain pathetic. I thought they were like 80% of the way through and Gearbox was just patching and polishing it up.

Buy Borderlands Game of the Year Edition, get early access to DNF demo.

I don't own Borderlands, so getting the GOTY edition with all the expansions included is an easy win for me.

In a hilarious Take That!, Randy Pitchford is demoing Duke Nukem Forever in Australia at the Mana Bar, which just happens to be Croshaw's videogame bar. A not-so-subtle Take That!, one that Croshaw is gleefully accepting. It'll be interesting to see what his actual review will be.

I posted the press release and the original Zero Punctuation video in the article.

Still won't believe it until it's purchased and in my console. And I'm watching the credits after playing it. Maybe not even then, as I will in no doubt be wondering when the city put hallucinogens in the water supply.

Yeah, the voice-over just did nothing for me, but I can like that kind of humour......it just seemed really, really dumb.
