I dunno. Duke 3D wasn't any more misogynistic than any other piece of media where women only exist to be a Shallow Love Interest and reward for the hero. This time the game was just self-aware about it. I do remember being disturbed by the captured babes in the alien biomass though.
Forever just looks disgusting.

You are not alone.I dont see the difference , they are all the same to me (Duke Nuke 3D humor, and Forever Humor)
http://steamcommunity.com/id/Xan-Xan/> offensive, humorless, and poorly-written.

"Every opinion that isn't mine is subjected to Your Mileage May Vary."And really, the reason why Forever seems to be more misogynistic is that it has real NPC interaction and cutscenes (well, or whatever one should call it). If 3D had that too it would be just as bad.
Also, never seemed to mind to blast random strippers to pieces (of money). At least, he never said anything.
As much as I like it, Duke Nukem 3D really gets overestimated a lot. So is it's kind of humor.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.I'd rather have a badass female sci-fi hero, whose sex doesn't actually matter. Reminds that I should start Mass Effect 2 again.
Of course, that wouldn't warrant a Distaff Counterpart of Duke Nukem, what brings me to the question why anybody would want that. Except to have something more to complain about. Because really, that's the sole reason for Forever's existence, even if it had been one of the best games ever. DN lost any relevance long ago.
People aren't as awful as the internet makes them out to be.Check out Jim Sterling's deconstruction on Duke himself.
I played DNF and while the misogynistic and other offensive material was the last straw, I was going to cease playing soon even before I reached the "Fucked" scene due to two other reasons: The game has awful, extremely dated gameplay, and I had a realization very much akin to what Jim is describing in his article. Duke isn't funny nor is he ironic or a parody. I actually agree with almost all of what Jim says, something I rarely find myself doing.
In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

And again, I find it disturbing that they those to remove the Action Girl who would have balanced the Testosterone Poisoning in the game. That... just makes me question the motives of those Texans out there.
