I was confused by how it was completely off-topic. It made me wonder if you had meant to post that in a different thread.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. So, birthday coming up soon (tomorrow, in fact). To reaffirm to myself that I AM, in fact, still a writer, rather than just OM's editor (i suddenly have much for sympathy for Akamatsu on that particular decision on WHY he's made UQ, if not how, or anything else about it), I'm going to see if I can post a short fic soon. Maybe just a Yue's Harem thing, or Ala Alba Plays Pathfinder again. Maybe I can make fun of encumbrance and carrying capacities. So, wish me luck!
WTH are you talking abo— <Google Search finishes> Oh God. You can't be serious. They're actually giving UQ Holder the subtitle of Mahou Sensei Negima 2?!
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.WHAT?! You mean they actually gave that lousy fanfic its own anime?! Before they did yours, Shadow?

Man, that was some serious lag time you guys.
But yeah, its got its own anime. For some reason, the OP features a character that is completely irrelevant. And its still Happy Material. It was nice to see it open up with Negima, weird as that was.
Also, there's a poll up to vote for your favorite 3-A character. There are only four characters with 2000+ votes right now. The rest are all shockingly low. Especially Chao. I'm kinda surprised Chisame is trailing in the top 5 by a considerable margin too.

Hi all, after burnout and a few distractions I finally wandered back to see what I'd missed on here and elsewhere. It'll take far too long to catch up on several hundred posts though. Sorry if there are any spoilers here that should be on other topics as well. But I was looking back at Winding the Clock, and looking to see out of curiosity what happened ever with UQ Holder, and I had to laugh at Eva's reaction to Asuna in 130-131. (And cheer that yes, it is an AU where Asuna didn't come back. So separates it from other things).
Not sure whether to find it funny, scary, or sad that Winding the Clock's writing had predicted multiple things well in advance of the mentioned UQ issues. Both the merging of personalities, and the idea that was complained about and rather shot down in here about Asuna being smarter with the Twilight Princess and Kagurazaka merged. I knew I saw somewhere that the memory block was implied to affect her intelligence level...
So I'm trying to reread Negima some (again) and get myself possibly working back on Clock sometime in the very near future. ^_^ Just thought I'd drop by to say hi first and be amused at the stuff noted above. ^_^

The Clock is Wound, The Future Must Commence! (tm)I can totally buy the memory-whammy on Asuna fucking with her ability to retain information like how English verbs work or whatever, but there's more to intelligence than memory. As I recall, the thing that had people calling bullshit on her intelligence in UQ involved her coming up with a plan, and applying the stuff you know is a horse of an entirely different color than being able to remember a lot of stuff. So it's not intuitive to me that having her memory fixed up would help there.
Basically. The thing with Asuna coming up with a plan though was sort of explained through her two personalities supposedly merging in...whatever the hell happened I guess.
I do think Asuna could come up with a plan though. She's a bit more intuitive then her reputation would otherwise imply. Maybe not something the scope of what Holder did, but something a little more then Negi's "Rush off to fight the Lifemaker with Fate and Kotaro." I mean, its not like we know how smart Asuna was back in AR days anyway. Mastering Kanka wouldn't be a benchmark I'd reach for, at the very least.
