You have my sympathies. I've found that outside of the Naruto and Harry Potter fandoms, reviews per chapter average out at 7.
That's pretty good, by my standards. Then again, I'm not as much of a Shameless Self-Promoter as you, so I probably don't have the same readership.

Behind her, Dynamis chuckled. Or least it was a chuckle for him; for most other people, it would have been considered a full out evil laugh.
“You have got to be kidding me.” She forced the words out of her mouth. The other girls around Negi were struck dumb. Ku fei raised her staff. Chisame reached a shaking hand toward her pocket, where her Pactio card was stored. She didn't believe for a minute that it was going to end well, but she was going to go down swinging.
“No need to be afraid.” The girl Fate raised a hand. “I have no intention of hurting any of you, though I do not believe that I would have the slightest bit of trouble doing so. My primary objective is simply to check on the boy to ensure that he poses no danger in his current state, although I was quite sure that he helpless.”
“Then why are you here!?” Chisame tightened her grip on her card.
“Do not be so agitated.” The white-haired girl ran her fingers through her hair. “I must admit that the reason for my appearance here is purely personal in nature.”
“Even I am forced to wonder what could have brought you down here.” Dynamis stared at the new arrival out of the corner of his eye. “I daresay that Quartum and Quintum are more than capable of dealing with the rest of this crew, and I doubt that Tertium would allow you to be the one to finally confront the boy.”
“I have no interest in him.” She looked coldly at the half-man lying on the floor before looking back at the group of girls huddled around their comatose teacher. “Allow me to introduce myself. I am Sextum, the 6th member of the Averruncus series.” She bowed slightly. “I am sorry to say that I am not as familiar with all of you as I could be. I have spent much of my time attending to other matters.”
“I..I'm Makie.” The girl waved weakly at Sextum.
“Don't be so friendly, nee-chan!” Chamo twitched his tail. “For all we know she's here to ki-”
“Quiet.” Chisame's hand closed on the ermine's head.
“I am Konoka.” She bowed, politely as ever.
“Akira.”
“Ku Fei.”
“A-Ako...”
Chisame snorted softly and tried to avoid making eye contact. She was well aware that she was the only one left. She could feel Chamo wiggling furiously in her grip. Might as well let him go first. Her grip loosened, and he slithered his way out of her hand.
“I'm Chamo. This here bespectacled otaku girl is-”
“I am familiar with her.”
“Huh!-?” For the first time, Chisame looked directly at Sextum. “How do you know me?”
“You are the internet celebrity known as Chiu, are you not?”
“Holy Crap!” Makie lept to her feet, pointing at Chisame. “She is Chiu! Can I have your autograph!-?”
Chisame put her a hand to her forehead. This kind of crap was the last thing that she wanted to deal with.
“Makie, this isn't really the time for something like this.” Akira grabbed one of the gymnast's arms and tried to pull her back down to her seat.
“I can't believe she never noticed that...” Ako whispered at Konoka. “Wasn't it kinda obvious once she stopped wearing the glasses all the time..?”
“Yeah...”
Chisame sighed. Her prospects of ever getting home looked so bleak that there was really no point in hiding her secret anymore.
“Yes, I'm Chiu. What does it matter?”
Sextum cleared her throat.
“I have been a fan of yours for quite some time.”
“WHAT!-?” Every jaw in the room dropped, and every head began to turn slowly toward Chisame, who's face was now as red as a tomato.
“When you first entered this world, I was unsure of your identity, but I have since determined that you are in fact the net idol Chiu.”
“HA!” Dynamis's laugh filled the air. “So this is why you requested use of that facial recognition spell. I never thought you would use it for something like this.”
“Be quiet, Dynamis. This was merely something I pursued in my spare time. At no point did I allow it to have a negative affect on our goals.” She took a few steps forward and extended a hand to Chisame. “It is an honor to meet you.”
“...Thanks.” Chisame offered a limp handshake. Sextum's hand gripped Chisame's tightly, and Chisame felt herself being pulled to her feet. She found herself staring into Sextum's eyes. They were surprisingly bright, almost shining. It was almost as if she were staring into a deep, translucent pool...
She was snapped out of her trance by the sensation of an arm against her back.
“H-hey! What are you..” Her words were stifled by Sextum's finger pressed against her lips.
“You don't need to say anything. I am just happy that I was able to meet you.”
All the logic in Chisame's mind was screaming at her to run away, or at least shake her head, anything to change the direction that this meeting was taking. But everything else...everything else was making her stay right where she was. Sextum's eyes weren't like Fate's. The smile that crossed her lips reached the rest of her face. There was something there; some sort of humanity. There was a spark of genuine happiness for something other than their scheming...
“I...I'm always glad to meet a fan...”
Of course, it isn't done. I still have to escalate the situation a bit more, If You Know What I Mean.
And also I have a few more lines that I really want to work in there.
I hope that this is one of those things that colors all perception of the character forever. Because I'm pretty sure that I'm always going to view Sextum as Chiu fangirl because of this.

This can only end badly. Maybe. I wonder if Negi will get a chance to work his magic on her.

It's just the latest bits of my ongoing for grammar correction and checkups. I should be posting the night's update shortly.
I might try giving it a spin someday, assuming Fate-chan doesn't do anything that makes me wanting to write Revenge Fic on her instead.
![]()
Probably not from me; I have too many other fics in the works after I finish this one.
![]()
As soon as I said "Fate-chan" the joke clicked. I think the "Fate" jokes are going to used for a long long time.

I already sent it. Both through TV Tropes P Ming and Doc X. Whatever works best for you now.
The night's update for the rest of you:
Misa said nothing, keeping herself still even if nervous under the shorter girl's glare.
"Kakizaki-san, please..." Negi struggled to get up, attempting to push himself up with his hands. "Get away..."
Eva tilted her head aside like a curious owl. In other circumstances, it'd have been cute. "What? You always were so talkative, Kakizaki... What happened to you? Bat got your tongue?" Her tone grew harsher, impatient. "How much do you know? Chachamaru, scan the area. tell me if she's alone or not."
The robot's eyes briefly shone in apple green. "Chamo-san is cowering behind the third lamp post at our right, but otherwise, no sapient creatures other than us are in the immediate proximities, Master."
"Then the little weasel was desperate enough to bring you, huh?" the immortal smirked. "I guess Hakase and her ragtag bunch were too cowardly to follow on their word after all."
"Evangeline," Misa finally spoke up, "I don't understand what got into you, but... Don't you think there are better ways to get into a boy's pants?"
The bloodsucker blinked. "What."
"I mean, I get he's too cute for words, but taking him by force is not the way to go! At least try being a bit more subtle!" the cheerleader said. "Boys today aren't that much into pushy girls... because they're, ahhh... more sensible than... before..."
Eva tapped a foot down. "Are you idiotic enough to actually believe that's what I'm trying here, or are you just trying to confuse me?"
Misa gulped. "Don't I get a third option?"
"Child," the vampiress flashed her fangs back, making Misa to shudder, "I don't like being mocked. If you already know what I am, then you know it's very unwise to cross me. And if you don't yet, then this should be enough to clue even your empty brain in. Now step aside. Go back to your shallow life before I end it up for you."
"E-Evangeline-san...!" Negi stiffly groaned, getting a few more inches up.
Misa just closed her eyes, whispering a half-forgotten prayer under her breath.
Evangeline let a sigh out. "Why does people keep on thinking I'm the devil? Only because I like draining the precious vital fluids of young victims?" She gave another step ahead. "Away from me, child."
Misa shook her head stubbornly, standing still even as she trembled and tightened her closed eyelids. Eva made a signal with her head to Chachamaru, and dutifully, the robot grabbed Misa with the utmost care and lifted her up like you would lift a newborn kitty, safely placing her aside and patting her head with a placid, slightly bashful smile. "Sorry about this," the servant said. "I promise you won't get hurt no matter what."
"Yeah, fine," her mistress grumbled. "Now you, on the other hand..." she turned a sadistic smirk to Negi. Seeing he was attempting to stand back on his staff, she grabbed it forcefully, tugged it away making him to fall back on his face, and tossed it back and off the bridge, into the river below. "I always hated this stupid stick of his..."
"Master, now that was cruel..." Chachamaru observed.
"My staff!!" Negi cried out, his eyes growing huge and welling up with tears. "Eva-san, you're too mean! Why?-! That... That was my most beloved possession! You're a horrible person!! I'll never... never forget—!!"
Evangeline stopped him with an angry bark. "Silence! Spineless maggot! You dare to bawl like a baby after invoking my wrath!-?"
"To be fair, he wasn't the one starting it all..." Chachamaru quietly pointed out.
"That makes no difference!" Eva claimed. "In matters of life and death, it doesn't matter 'who started it', but how do you cope with it all! Even that Thousand Master fool knew that! If you ever want to be a man like him, you brat, I advice you to remember that! Complaining about the unfairness of life never got anyone anywhere!"
"Seriously?" Misa asked. "It always gets me a raise out of Daddy..."
Ignoring her, Evangeline knelt down next to Negi. Her hands suddenly caressed his cheeks, almost soothingly. "But I guess you're brave enough for your age. Most children of these times have no courage or honor. Spoiled little rotten parasytes. You could hope to be something different..."
He gasped helplessly, staring into her deep, mesmerizing green eyes. "Ah...?"
"You were a fool, coming after me alone. But I'll still grant you a sweet release after your efforts. Just close your eyes. I promise it won't hurt..."
"Master..." Chachamaru sounded almost concerned, even as she quickly grabbed Misa's right arm, stopping her from interfering.
But Negi didn't close his eyes. He only could stare in horror as Evangeline's warm mouth, breathing in and out in eager gasps, closed in to his neck, until the points of the fangs broke through the soft skin, making him to yelp. It was not very painful, being more like dual tiny injections piercing him, but it all simply terrified him beyond words.
Evangeline smirked triumphally to herself and began to suck avidly, savoring the first droplets of sweet blood hitting her tongue.

I'd seen that before, but I have no idea what it is. Is there a story behind it?

Dang, that looks nice, but looking at male!Eva is giving me Moon Phase flash backs for some reason. Also, the Gratuitous English tagline doesn't say shit.
Anyway, I've been busy with SAT work recently, but now I feel like I was gonna take NDC's advice and start a FF.net account (less for audience and more for storage). I just have one question: Can you edit chapters once you upload them?
